23 digit Xbox code

My husband got 2 Xbox gift cards for xmas. Both only have a 23 digit code. Faq says to contact support for bad codes, support says that you can't talk to someone for this issue and to see the faq. Took it back to the store and they gave us a number that
only links you to the faq. How do we get this fixed?

Hey there!

Did you try redeeming the code on your Xbox One console or via Xbox.com? Could you try using the one you haven't yet? Try replacing the # symbols in this link with your code and see if that works:

https://account.xbox.com/PaymentAndBilling/RedeemCode?doRedeem=0&token=#####-#####-#####-#####-#####

Also, I notice that you purchased your code from Amazon's German store. What region are you physically located in and what region is your Xbox Live account set to? This may make a difference on ability to redeem a code if they don't match appropriate.

If none of that works, could you send me your code via Xbox Live messages so I can take a look at it?
