Too be honest I don't mind paying what every other country is paying for their subscription, it's only fair right? What isn't fair is that we still have to connect to servers out of our country to enjoy online gaming. As one of your consumers I am asking
you to look into this otherwise I promise you, many will leave xbox behind and move to other consoles.

What does the number mean

The number you are referring to is tenure. For every continuous year of your gold subscription it increases by one. So if someone has a 5 it means they have had 5 continuous years of a gold subscription.

Xbox tenure is not increasing

The previous gold subscription ended today, and I added a 12 month gold subscription code today as well. I only have one 12 month subscription activated and the tenure should increase to the next level once the previous subscription finished and the next
subscription was successfully activated.

Xbox Live costs $9.99 in the United States, and the increases are happening to bring the conversion in line with the American price.

The official statement of MS was:

"We occasionally update pricing in a given market to provide a balance of service and value, and in some instances, meet currency fluctuations within the region, and will be adjusting the price of Xbox Live Gold subscription in a small number of markets
on June 20, 2016. We do so always keeping in mind that our goal is to offer our members the premium gaming and entertainment service at a fair price."

So there you have it prices are changed in base of monetary inflation and regional factors.

Do they offer Games For Gold in South Africa?

Hi, thanks.

Even if I change my Locale then it still acts as if I am in South Africa. The Walking Dead is not available on the SA Marketplace and if I try to download it on Xbox.com/en/GB it still says that the game is not available in your region.

My Xbox is still on the SA dashboard.

The email I received from MS read:

"This mail is confirmation that you successfully switched your XBOX Live account from South Africa to United Kingdom .

Your subscription to Prepaid 12M Xbox LIVE Gold in South Africa has been cancelled on 17 January 2013. In the meantime 17 month(s) has been exchanged from your subscription to Xbox LIVE Subscription Transfer in United Kingdom . "

hi i am in south africa and i have cancelled my xbox live gold subscription but now a month later it tried taking the payment now i cant cancel it again until i pay the subscription please help i didnt use gold at all since cancelation
