I recently purchased an offer stating 20%off a year of gold subscription and a free game (lovers In a dangerous space time) I personally didn't get the game and it was not free when I attempted to download it. I started a chat with customer support and after
1-2hrs I was referred to this page.

Problem with offer: 20% Off Gold + Free Game

Hi,

I had this offer come up on my dashboard to "Get 20% off Gold Plus Free Game" (Free game is 'Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime'). I went through the link from the offer and it came to the gold subscription page with 1, 3 and 12 month options. I selected the
12 month option (it was still listed as $80) and then it came up to the payment confirmation screen, still listed as $80. I tried coming back in multiple times and also restarting the console but it continued to list it as $80.

Thinking that it would be applied behind the scenes I hit confirm but now I am seeing my order history show an $80 order and I can see a pre-authorisation on my credit card for the same amount. Should it have shown the discount at checkout and if so why
hasn't it? I also see that there is generally a wait time to get the game so I cant use that to verify whether it worked.

I applied for the offer on the 9th July but I can now see in my order history on the 10th July an auto renewal for 1 month. Seeing as my expiry date for gold is now listed as August 2017, did this 1 month go through in the background before the addition
of the 12 months or did it get added to the end and has it affected why the offer didn't work for me?

How can i fix this and make sure the in dash offer works. It still has 28+ days on the countdown, can I cancel the 12 month portion, stick with the 1 month for now and retry the offer in a few weeks? What do I do from here?

I can see that I'm not the only one who has had this problem with the discount not showing (Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.), is there a problem with the offer at the moment?

Did you buy it with a creditcard or paypal?

If not then was it a prepaid code

If prepaid code then no in order to get promotional you must buy with a payment method

 

If you did but it with a payment method not a prepaid code then you have to wait 4-8 weeks after the promotions end to get the codes and no you don't buy it you redeem the code

order to qualify.

Hello all, I have the same issue. Is there any way to get it if I bought Gold through the traditional screen?

I see in the fine print that you don't receive it unless you buy from the promo page, though that was a driver in why I purchased Gold.

I'm assuming it's to keep track of how much Gold was sold thanks to the promo, but I think it would be proper to treat those reeled in with the promo the same as those loyal customers who are used to going through the traditional screen. Or at least make
it more clear that you must buy it there to qualify.
