20 minutes to find a lobby on COD:BO2

I recently switched from Time Warner to AT&T U-Verse and have been experiencing issues searching for a lobby on BO2. I figured it was because my NAT was moderate so I went into the new gateway and opened the ports. My NAT is open now but still experiencing
slow lobby times. It always puts me in a lobby by myself and then it spends an awful amount of time trying to find more players, and then once I do finally start a game I am always 4 bar and everyone else is 3 bar and red bar.....I was playing wireless but
switched to wired because of the slow times. Going wired did nothing for my search times.

The funny thing about this is I don't lag when I am playing, it is only the search times. And most of the time I wind up in a lobby full of people from other countries.....

BTW, I ran multiple speed test and I am usually ping- 5, up-39 and down 5

Somebody please help me!!! I have called AT&T, they said there is nothing wrong because my speed test is fine. I have called Xbox and they couldn't figure it out and I have even called Activision and they ensured me that it is not on their end either.....:-(

    :)

  2. Bo2 dont find a lobby

    Greetings!

I don't think phone support is required at the minute. Although your NAT states that it is open, it may not be. Have a look at the solutions on the

    NAT Type Strict (Or Moderate)
page for guidance, and tips on how to improve your NAT. I also recommend viewing some of the solutions in the

    START HERE for connection troubleshooting!
page. In terms of Black Ops II, make sure your search preferences are set correctly so you join any lobby. Also, just to make sure it isn't your network speed, perform a
Network Speed Test and post the results here if you can 20 minutes to find a lobby on COD:BO2 :)

    Hope this helps!

20 minutes to find a lobby on COD:BO2

And since I just now seen this.....

What Country/State/Province do you live in? US, Texas

Modem brand & model number: Motorola NVG589

Router brand & model number: Apple Time Capsule

How many consoles do you have connected to this router? 2 (XBoX 360 and Xbox One, but only use one at a time)

Wired or wireless (for each console): Wired for Xbox 360 and Wireless for One

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter?

Things you have tried: Speed test (Ping-5, up-39 and down-5), opened ports, Called AT&T, Called XBOX, Called Activision, Disabled firewalls

Is UPnP Enabled? Unknown, can't find this setting in either modem or router

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? Open NAT

Any Error Codes you encounter: none, sometimes I get the Live Connection Error

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? AT&T U-Verse

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

    W: 0000 - 000B

    X: 0000 - F001

    Y: 20A8 - 48E0

    Z: 0000 - 0000

  5. Hey there, ROTARYMEDIC! Sorry to see you have some issues getting some other players in CoD. Hopefully we can get you sorted out here. 20 minutes to find a lobby on COD:BO2 :)

I see that you have your Time Capsule hooked up to the Motorola NVG589. It doesn't look like we have any information on that, but I am very familiar with its predecessor, the NVG510.

You opened the ports on the gateway according to your original post. In the NVG510, setting up manual settings will cause NAT. Did you set up the port forwarding on the NVG589 from the Xbox's IP address or the MAC address in the drop down list (if it's the
    same as the NVG510)?

I know it is showing as Open NAT right now, but I think you might be experiencing what we call "invisible NAT", especially if your console is connected to the Time Capsule. Are you able to wire your console directly to the NVG, if it isn't already? This will
help us out by ruling out the Time Capsule complicating things. I am assuming that you had the Time Capsule with Time Warner, so I think the issue may only lie with the NVG.

Your speeds are pretty good. You've gone from a cable connection to a DSL connection, though. DSL has a common issue where peak times will slow things down a bit, but this doesn't seem like it's the same. It may be something to keep an eye on.

Post back your results as well as how you have your console connected fully so that we can start from there! 20 minutes to find a lobby on COD:BO2 :D

Thanks for the help. I am still having the same issue and I have tried everything. I tried switching from my time capsule to the router built into my modem, I tried hard wiring to both, and I even broke out the plug and play adapters I had a while back.
Nothing has worked. We are ditching AT&T Uverse and going back to Time Warner. Hopefully this fixes the issue. They will be at the house tomorrow afternoon to reinstall. I will post and let you know if it fixes my issue. Thanks again!
