20+ free* games since the XB1 launch!

So, we're coming upon a new year of Xbox One and I just wanted to reminisce on all of the free games I've gotten since the console launched. For those of you who don't yet have a console, this will also give you an idea of what you've been missing out on
since some of these are no longer available for free. Luckily for you, though, there appears to be no signs of it stopping any time soon. I'd also like you to keep in mind that this isn't necessarily even a complete list, since most of it's off the top of
my head. If you see any omissions, feel free to mention them and I'll have a mod update the initial post.

There is no better time to get into video games in my opinion, so hop on board and enjoy the ride!.

Will the XB1 get better?

yes the XB1 will get way BETTER. especially since its going to utilize DirectX 12 Making games look better than ever. Stay tuned for march 20 on that announcement.

I'm happy with my $500 console w/Kinect and the 20+ free games I've received SINCE launch.

Three of your sections require that you pay to access those games. Surely that is the opposite of free?

I can see the point of the thread, to counter negativity so sorry for bringing it again, but when you have to pay to access 'free' games they aren't really free.

 

I got Destiny free as part of that promotion this past July, for anyone who bought and activated a new console. The gave me $75 in MS money, which I used on Destiny. That also brought the price of my console down to $325.00

I've also enjoyed the games from EA Access. Peggle 2 and PvZ: GW are fantastic games.

 

Is that why you wont pay for gold, everyone wants a freebie nower days eeee I tell thee!

 

If you look back nearly all that stuff has only been in the 6 months max apart from killer instinct ibe had my xbox since march did buy a day one edition with fifa 14 and forza 5 download codes at a dropped price so I was even luckier lol

Besides, it's still a steal of a deal and I would likely be paying for some of it even if those deals didn't exist (the Gold subscription, in particular), so the "free" games are really just icing on the cake for me and numerous others.

Does Xbox Video still do that free weekend Movie of the Week, too? It used to get a big mention on the side dashboard. I haven't had time to watch any tv/movies, recently.

 

It's still done on the console, Steve, but not just through Xbox Video - they advertise free films within the other apps too.
