  3. Question about Xbox warranty. Sorry if this isn't the place to post.

1 year standard warranty for consoles bought as new.

3 year RROD warranty for consoles bought as new.

You can register your console either on this website or by phoning support. That way you can keep an eye on your warranty status if the need arises.

I ask you for a link to a "$40.00 12 month XBL Gold card." that YOU Badger posted in reply to a nonforum regular and you could not deliver. Thats a far cry away from an article that may have gotten flushed the Orwellian rabbit hole years ago.

"Forum regulars" ? How many of them are their here? 15?

Every one of em only make threads to either. "Hype up the spam" and/or to trash anyone who isn't a dye hard fanboy.

I seem to be the only one opposing such ilk, but I guess someone has to.

    Have a nice day!

You also ask for links because you didn't believed that Microsoft announced "rent games with gold" or if there were discussions about it on Xbox forums, when you "discover" it at least 6 months after....

And this is just another example.

    ......

I guess you will consider this as "trashing someone",but i (we) just try to keep your memories fresh.

That was one example of you wanting someone else to do the legwork for you & I wasn't the only one who told you were to get cheap xbox live codes from the same place, you just couldn't be bothered to look for yourself so it isn't real & anyone who didn't
give you the link failed to deliver.

    Nice try.

  7. My asking you for a lazy to what you championed as. '$40.00 XBLG Card' was for a reason.

My pc is down for the count, so my consoles are now my PC's. Have been for the past year. When i call XBS and they ask me to check my inbox and relay the code they sent, I use either the PS Console, or Wii. As you may, or maybe know. It is impossible to
    post links via a console.

With that said, Even if i could post links via a console, i wouldn't them for circlejerks in any forum.

So if he can't find my. "Story," on the net then i think perhaps someone recieved a gag order from the courts, and the media took it down. ~ Orwellian rabbit hole.

But whether that's the case or no. To suggest that I am a liar for relaying what I read years ago... Well, I'll just leave you to your own hurt.

Never knew that. "Microsoft announced. 'rent games with gold' Tzar.

When did they announce that, and how much to rent say. Fallout 4 Digital Deluxe Edition for a week?

There are certain products that are "coded" to stop working after so many cycles, for safety and liability concerns mostly.

Now the following may be true...

Printers...Ever notice how they cycle every so often, especially when not being used for awhile? The nozzles/jets are being purged; there is a "sponge" that absorbs that ink. Eventually the sponge wouldn't be able to accept any more fluid and would spill
to the bottom, where possibly the ink would overflow out of the unit causing damage.

I could tell more "stories" about consumer electronics having a "programmed" life cycle, but can't post links or back up my claims. Maybe I just like to make things up? Lol.

    Peace, J.R.

The above statement about printers or other products having a programmed life cycle was written for satirical purposes only and does not reflect the beliefs of any person living or dead...

  10. No need to back up that 'story' as printers use both digital and annolog tech. But the matterial that asorbs the ink can be cleaned and the printer can once again give yrs of service.

Not so with other things such as some newer cars. Neglect to take to the dealer, and a certain fuse will blow that does not effect drivability, but certain things (radio, cluster, key fob, door locks, security, even brake lights) will not work again untill
your dealer updates the cars onboard system.

Consoles update via net services every so often. Imagin if xbox was like Chrysler?

You don't even remember that you made a thread to rant about "rent games with gold" when you discover ( 6 months later) that Microsoft made some policy changes for games with gold......

And when we said it was announced a while back and there were (old) threads about it,you didn't believed any of us and asked for links.

(I guess, you couldn't do any research by yourself because your PC was broken, your consoles were broken and your internet connection didn't works at all).

At least, everything works fine when you have to post/rant in here.

Electro your the King of. fiction, you get more outrageous as you get more desperate to validate your bizarre claims..

@D33dles theres a difference between a failsafe and a product with hidden built in obsolescence designed to fleece the consumer. But you know that anyway.....

Ya, everything works fine and when it often does not. I simply fire up another console.

    Back to topic.

It would be neer impossible to prove that any tech company has built in obsolence. I meam they're not going to open up their records (physical or digital) for anyone, including gobernment to keep tabs on em.

That can't happen for 'we the people' were replaced with corporate lobbiests long ago.

However, in time. There is nothing hidden that will not be uncovered.

There is a balancing act with companies trying to provide a value to consumers, while not making the product "immortal". Lol. It would not be a stretch to believe some companies may be a little too conservative on the life cycle of their products. Do I believe
they are trying to fleece consumers? No. Do I believe it has to do with cost and being competitive while providing a safe product? Yes.

Take the 360 and the "Red Ring Of Death". Personally believe it was the lead free solder. M.S. probably had multiple 360 s continually on testing for malfunctions, and didn't take into account people cycling the unit so frequently. Multiple temperature variations
with non controlled cycling caused the solder to crack. The PS3 s had the same problem, though later in their life cycle, with the "Yellow Light Of Death". The conspiracy theorist could make a argument that both companies designed their products to fail after
    a certain time.

Excuse my ramblings as I'm off today, the sweetie is at work, and I'm bored. Lol.

    Peace, J.R.
