2 Xbox's in One Home with 1 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Possible to play ONLINE...

I'm afraid it is not possible to play online without either of these 2 subscriptions: Xbox Game Pass Core or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate unless there is an account with an active subscription that is game sharing/set as home Xbox on your console.

Based on your description, an account with an Xbox Game Pass subscription is set as home Xbox (subscription sharing) on your console however you are still unable to play online, is that correct?

If yes, this could mean that the account with the subscription that is set as home Xbox might have its subscription expired already or that the active subscription is neither Core nor Ultimate.

You need to contact the owner of that account if it still has an active subscription by confirming it on account.microsoft.com > services and subscription.

Xbox 1 - The console where you can play the game online without any issues.

Xbox 2 - The Xbox where you can't play the game online.

This means that on the Xbox 1 one account is set as Home Xbox wherein it has an active Xbox Live Gold subscription or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

An Xbox Live Gold subscription is required to play a paid online multiplayer game.

Put the xbox game pass ultimate under one of their accounts. So for example.. Son#1 has game pass ultimate make his home xbox as the xbox that son#2 uses that way anyone that uses that xbox can use the game pass ultimate without having him sign in since its his home xbox.. what this means is make the xbox one x son#1 home console.. then have son#1 play on the xbox one and have son#2 play on the xbox one X or vice versa.. this is the only way they can both play at the same time using one game pass ultimate account. Because son#1 will have to sign into the xbox one so he can play therefore it wont kick anyone out of the game pass on the xbox one x since thats his home xbox. If theres another way i dont know about it. Because we have 3 xboxs and we can use 2 of them this way at the same time so my son and daughter can both play against each other but unfortunately theres no way to do it on more then 2. It sucks for family's with more then 2 xboxs also sucks when you have more then 2 ppl that want to use the game pass ultimate at the same time. Microsoft needs to change this, my suggestion would be for them to make a family game pass ultimate subscription where you can add your family members up to say 5 or 6 members to your family subscription and they can use game pass ultimate anywhere anytime. That would be nice. But unfortunately this is what we are stuck with for now. Maybe it'll change in the future

1. No need to start a new account. Just use your current profiles and use the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to one account and then use that account to take advantage of the Home Xbox feature of the console to share the games and subscription to other accounts on the console.

Here is how to designate the console as your preferred Home Xbox:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.

2. Using the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the account will automatically convert your Gold subscriptions to Game Pass Ultimate that will extend your subscription plan depending on how many months you have Xbox Live Gold.

I just wanted to ask if it is possible to have one game pass ultimate subscription on 2 different xbox consoles. And if so how would it work?

Would i be able to play on both consoles at the same time? (Obviously not me specifically but lets say me and my wife on two different consoles at the same time playing different games)

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Xgu doesnt share on home console

Only the gold part does

Any benefit like gamepass games downloads must be done on the primary account holders account

Call yours xbox one and your account 1

Your wifes will be xbox 2 and account 2

Account 1 must set xbox 2 as home console

Then she has acceas ro your content and online play except for gamepass games.

But you must sign in on console.1 online to use your console with account 1
