2 xbox's and sharing games.

Hello all,

I have two questions that related but different.

I share my Xbox One with my son, and I want to buy my son his own Xbox one, He has his own gamertag and is under my family account. Will he have access to all the games that I have on my system, without having to repurchase games and play along with me?
Or even play alone on his system.

2nd question that kinda relates, his Mother and I are not together. If he has another Xbox One at his Mother's house, can he also use the same games there and also play games at the same time with me? Since he can't be in two places at once, he will only
be logged into one machine at a time,

All of my games are purchased through the Xbox store and downloaded.

3 xbox ones at house. Best way to get on live with all 3.

I just purchased a 3rd xbox one for my house. When I had the 2 I was able to do the game sharing with the home xbox and etc. I want to know if anyone has 3 xbox's at the house and have successfully gotten all 3 online and games sharing with the least out
of pocket.

Any advice would be helpful.

Sharing games with bother

Are you trying to set up 2 xbox's that are both sharing games? Like, he wants to play your digital games and you want to play his digital games? If that's the case you play on your xbox, but it's his home xbox. He plays on his xbox, but that's your home
xbox.

In order for him to be able to access the games you purchased, you would have to set his console as your Home console.

Then will I have access to the games on mine? I would guess I cant set both consoles to "Home". I would rather not buy two of the same game to play together.

You can access games you bought on your account on any console you want as long as you're signed into Live.

I think extended is wrong.

The true and first meaning of the account/game sharing was to a house share like 2 brothers with 2 consoles and for the parents doesnt need to buy 2 xbox live golds or 2 games. And not to people share with all their friends.

Doesnt mix the family settings with account sharing on Xbox, is not the same thing and not the same end.

So can the two accounts share all games? Or just one account can share its games with the other? I understand that the games are account bound

both accounts can share their games/subscriptions.

for example: account A plays on Xbox 1 and makes Xbox 2 their Home Xbox

account B plays on Xbox 2 and makes Xbox 1 their Home Xbox

You can game share with only one account but I think you can share gold with up to five xbox so for online play you might be set... for games only 2 xbox can share them...

It meant to be for sharing xbox live on 2 consoles and sharing game on 2 consoles. It has worked for months. Until the server crashed in January.

Jeez where do they find the advisors.
