  1. 2 Xbox One's, Two Houses, One Account

I am considering buying a 2nd Xbox One which would be kept in a second house. Both consoles would have the same account (not gold), and only one console would be in use at one time. I'm hoping I can play a given game at house A,
then pickup where I left off at house B. I have both disc and digital versions of games, so I assume I'd have to bring discs back and forth between homes. I haven't been able to find any info about people doing this, what things would I be able to do/no
    do between consoles?

    Thanks

    :)

  2. multiple Xbox ones in same house

    Hello DAJAXMAN,

Good question, yes you can have two Xbox One's in the same house. If its your girl's friend first time downloading her account to a Xbox One that Xbox One will become her main Xbox. As long as you have one Active gold account downloaded to the system your
gold will be shared across the accounts. in this case her account.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

If you want them to play on the other console, they will need an account. You can either create accounts for them, which when added to your family you will be able to manage the content they can see/play as well as set time limits for the console, or they
will have to play as a guest on the console.

These pages have a lot of good information on setting up a
    child account
    and adding them to
    your family
    .

If you keep the original Xbox One as your account's
    home console
they won't need a paid Live membership. They will be able share your Live subscription as well as your purchased games while on the home console. More on that can be found

    here
    .

As long as you're signed into Live when you play, your saves are automatically saved to the cloud. So you can pick up where you left off. Things would have to sync up when you start them, but otherwise there's not really anything else you'd have to do to
    play between 2 consoles.

  5. Thanks for the info.

Would you happen to know for digital copies of games, would I be able to use a game code over again to download onto the second console?

    Hello,

I have a similar situation where i have 2 xbox ones. It does work like you are thinking where you can play the game and the information will sync between consoles. This is because the game save data is really stored in the "cloud" with xbox.

There is one catch to be aware of. Only one xbox one can be designated as your "Home Console" the term used my Microsoft to determine how to push updates and install automatically to a console. Beware, you can only change your home console 3 times a year.
Game you own will play on your home console my anyone including guest accounts. Games you own will only play on a "non home console" if you are logged into it as the game owner (digital purchased games) you can download and install the games.

My "Home Console" is downstairs. My second Console is upstairs. My home Console auto logs in my account. My second console does not auto login in case it turns on by accident. So If I can not play on my big tv downstairs int he family room, I can login
    and play upstairs.

I have also created a secondary xbox live account that I purchased xbox live gold with too. I use this second account to allow my grand kids to play my games on the primary console without affecting my primary account. I also use the second account when
playing split screen games only with the grand kids locally and with the other grand kids in the other states. You can only use voice chat if all your account have a paid xbox live subscriptions so guest accounts will not allow you to chat. This i also
a work around to play halo 5 locally with 2 players in the same house, halo 5 is not split screen game. So on the "home" console I login with the secondary account to launch halo 5 since any account can play games on that console , on the second console
I login with my primary account and launch halo 5 since I own the game then invite the to account to play a game.

I believe in your case with different houses and 2 console will work just fine for what your are trying to achieve.
