2 Xbox Ones, 1 modem/router (Looking for compatible router list please)

So, we (my brother and I) both have our own Xbox ones, we run them in the same house, same room, same modem and router. Our modem is the Verizon D-Link 2750B (which as I can tell, is compatible) and our router is the Netgear R4500. Both work great for everything
else, well except on Xbox. Lately, we've been having massive issues, mostly playing Destiny.

As of recently, we constantly get the whole "Contacting Destiny Servers" message, the dreaded "Baboon" error which of course in Crucible reinstates you. This wipes your score, kills, etc. (It's annoying AF). Now, Bungie has been having problems with their
servers and things lately in Destiny, so we were shrugging it off as "It's on their end." But, we decided to look into it a bit more on ours. I've looked the QoS and the UPnP up and down, and it didn't work. When I changed the QoS it in fact seemed to make
it worse. An instance of this, is that after doing this and trying to return to Iron Banner together, we played for a bit, then got "Babooned", this happened twice, then I got kicked back to space, my brother staying in game. So, out of curiosity, I loaded
into my own game of Iron Banner, he got "Babooned" as soon as my match started.

Now we've had a rough time or two, but nothing ever this bad or frequent. And Destiny is the only game we've had this problem with, it could very well turn out to be Bungie's server issues at work. But if not, we would like to remedy this problem. Could
someone look into our router (NETGEAR R4500) and if it is indeed not compatible with running two Xbox Ones from the same router, post a list of NETGEAR routers that are and have a high Mbps. And please include easily understandable and detailed instructions
of how to set it up so that it is usable for 2 Xbox Ones.

    Please and Thanks.

    :)

  3. My brother or myself disconnecting when the other one signs on?

Very good suggestion by my fellow Ambassador.

If his help didn't help you out at all, I'm afraid your router isn't combatible with the Xbox that you own.

I wasn't able to track your Router in the
    Xbox Supported Compatible Router/Modem list
, so that means that you should contact you your Internet Service Provider (ISP) again and request a compatible Router/Modem or all in 1.

This list display all Router,Modems for multiple manufactures that are compatible with Windows Live Games, Xbox Games, Xbox Networks etc.

If you still have any problems, I hope to hear from you soon.

the Verizon and the netgear are both routers , that is the problem , both devices control NAT (unless you have the Verizon one in "bridge mode" ) .....the first device should be ONLY a modem , not a gateway , the Netgear should be fine...

    Hi,

Before we get started, could you verify that your D-Link 2750B is operating in bridge- or pass-through mode.

The D-Link 2750B is an xDSL modem router, which also provides Network Address Translation (NAT). This is not a problem as long as you, or your brother's console's get source NATd once. But when you add an additional layer of NAT (Netgear) into your topology
(if not the D-Link 2750B has already been set to operate in bridge mode) it'll cause certain network architectures, such as p2p, to not function seamlessly between your endpoints.

I forgot to post this, so it may well be that someone has already provided you with a similar answer as mine.

    Ok, here goes *reply*
