2 Xbox One consoles - 1 Live

I have (2) Xbox One units; (1) Xbox One, (1) Xbox One S in the same house. They are our entertainment hub in both rooms; everything feeds through the xbox units.

I have (1) Live account.

I have (2) Profiles under Live. (1) is the main one tied to my Live account, the other is one I created under the FAMILY option.

I'd like to be able to do the following. What is the best way to set this up? How do I make this seamless for my family so if someone is watching a Netflix moving on one Xbox, the other one doesn't boot them out when they want to play Forza. In other words,
so they are not interrupted when the other Xbox turns on?

***Remember this needs to be as if both are on at the same time.***

1. Play digital games on either profile.

2. Stream Microsoft Store purchased movies on either profile.

can you not fudge it to two?

I thought if I had a console and I had live then any player on that console gets live,

if I go and play on any console when I am logged in I still have live.

So if I had three folks with consoles, I could buy live for console 1 and 3 but have players 1 or 3 always use xbox 2, as they will get live benefits on the box without it, and the person without live can use one of the xbox's that have live baked in ?

I thought they were getting rid of the family live membership because you could have so many members under your live account now at no added cost? So it should work out cheaper... at least I thought that's what they said at their E3 conference.

Utilize My Home Xbox Settings on one of your console.

Reminder: You can only sign in a specific account on one console at a time or it will boot out if you try to sign in the same account on a different console.

hi i will try to help you as best i can then

You have 2 console 3 account

Account 1 (with subscription)
Account 2
Account 3

Console A
Console B

Account 1 that owns the subscription will classify console B as the primary one from that all accounts on console B will have access to the subscription

which means that account 2 or 3 on console B will have xbox live and all

in return Account 1 will be the only one able to use the xbox live on console A

If you want account 2 and 3 to play together, you will need one of the two subscribers

Ok lets call the xbox one x console 1 and the xbox one s is console 2

Your account is account 1

One kid is =account 2

One kid is account 3

Ok your account 1 makes console 2 its home console

Account 1-3 can use any games on console 2 and play online

Console 1 only your profile will be the roaming profile so.only account 1 can play online and use your game on that console 1 but must.be signed online

Only one console can be home console.and only the account with thr live membership will be able to use it on any console

So ideally you want to have only 2 accounts not a third one if you want them to play on two different consoles

Well that's not how home console works

Ok so let's call your profile profile 1 and your xbox one x console 1

Your son profile is profile 2 and console 2 for thr xbox one

Since profile 1 is gold console 2 MUST BE set to home console for profile 1 and profile 2 can use the gold from that and be signed into his own profile 2

HOWEVER gold is NOT required on fortnite or any f2p games

Profile 1 can play on console 1

Profile 2 can use your content on console 2 only

While profile 1 can use your content on console 1 as long as you are connected to live

You cannot be signed in on two different places

What you are talking about is guest account NOT home console

Your profile must be signed out of console 2

With the Xbox One there is a "Home" setting which allows all profiles on one console to share a gold subscription and games/content. So both kids can share everything on the Home console. In order to play at the same time, the child who's account is the
"Home" account would need to play on the non-Home console. That account can access everything on any console. This will allow them to share digital games, but if you have physical discs, they would need 2 copies.
