2 Xbox Consoles - Different Houses - Best Way To Share Games?

The easiest way to share your digital games with him is through Home Xbox feature. This does not require him to sign in to your account which will be safer however you can only set your account as Home Xbox to one device at a time. Once you set your account as Home Xbox on his Xbox console he will be able to play your digital games as well as use any subscription that you have while signed in under his own account.

To set your account as Home Xbox simply follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to your account on his Xbox console.

2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

3. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

4. Select “Make this as my Home Xbox”

Just to clarify... The Home Xbox option is for share your games in a console for your house.

For example if you have 2 consoles in your house one in your living room and other in a your game room, so everyone can play your games on the console of your living room and you can still play on your console in your room.

Not for share your account to a different person that lives in another house, City, etc.

Remember share accounts go against the Xbox Live Terms and conditions.

I think extended is wrong.

The true and first meaning of the account/game sharing was to a house share like 2 brothers with 2 consoles and for the parents doesnt need to buy 2 xbox live golds or 2 games. And not to people share with all their friends.

Doesnt mix the family settings with account sharing on Xbox, is not the same thing and not the same end.

Therefore theres no sharing in house with all profiles signed into different consoles with everyone playing different game with all the games used/ installed /licen. on one console with my profile.

Oh yeah, as for Live Gold.....

On your "home" console, your Live Gold account covers everyone that wants to play online on it, so other people in the house wouldn't need to pay for Gold.

On the other console, because it's not your "home" console, your Gold account would not cover everyone that wanted to play online on that machine.

If you've got more than one person in the house that games, your best bet is to set 1 Xbox as your home console, then get someone else in the house to set the other Xbox as their home console. That requires 2 Gold accounts, but that way you can share downloadable
games easily without having to buy them twice, and anyone else that logs into either console will not need Gold to play online.
