2 week Gold Account that came with xbox one not working

So, I just contacted Xbox Support with the following problem and they asked if I could post the problem in the forums (for some reason).

I've bought an xbox one and it came with a two week xbox live gold trial. I entered the code on my xbox one and at first it looked like it was working. After rebooting the console however it stopped working. When I log in to the xbox website it also doesn't
show up and I can't see the transaction in my transactions overview on microsoft's commerce site.

At Xbox support they checked the code which showed up as redeemed by me.

Xbox live trial error

I recently bought a Xbox one and with the Xbox came a code for a 2 week xbox live gold trial. I also received a 2 day trial with one of the games I bought. I used the 2 day trial first and it worked fine, but now that I wanted to redeem the 2 week trial
the system says: "code not found". Is there any way to fix this?

 

Xbox live gold renewal trouble

Hi, so I bought an Xbox one the other day and tried making an xbox live gold account, so i put a code in that came with the xbox that gives me 2 weeks free of xbox live gold. Although when i enter the code it says 'you already have an xbox live gold membership'.
However this is not the case, my gold ran out on the 9th of november, and when i try multiplayer it says i dont have xbox live gold. Please help, what can i do?

 

I have the exact same problem with the XBox One I bought yesterday. The XBox Live Gold 14 day trial subscription that came within, and which I redeemed yesterday, just disappeared after I had already used it to claim the free game. The installation for that
game does not finish and complains that I need Gold subscription.

Now if I try to redeem the same code again it just says that it has been already claimed.

If there are two of us, I would guess there are plenty of others with the same problem as well...

 

As it's a trial you will not show as a Gold member, it should simply give you access to the benefits of having a Gold account. Have you tried a "hard boot" on your xbox one? By holding down the power button until the console powers off and then powers back
on again? This re-syncs with your profile's information with the cloud storage.

 

Yes, I tried a hard reset, didn't help. Thing is, I tried downloading the "games with gold" game (Crimson Dragon), which downloaded and started to install but then after about 15 minutes stopped installing and it popped up a message saying I need a gold
account.

 

You have to have a full gold subscription in order to download the games with gold games. Trials will are not eligible.

 

Ok, good to know, thanks. So the XBox Live Gold trial might be working ok, but I cannot validate it at least with the games with gold.

 

Yeah, gold trials do not actually change your account status to gold. So you still need a full gold subscription for certain things. They mostly just give you access to some aspects of online multiplayer.
