2 step verification removal

Hello,

I used to be a gamer and played games on my original xbox, then xbox360. After that I stopped playing games but my daughter kept using my gamertag and is still playing games now on the xboxone.

Some time ago the xboxone stopped working and I got the system up and running again using a factory reset.

Now she can not login to this account because she has forgotten the PW. We can not reset this PW because If we try to reset this PW filling in the form, because 2 step verification is on. Only 1 option is available and that is my phone number... after that there are 2 more options (Authenticator app and old email adress but I can not access this anymore because I switched provider a long time ago)

Because the 2 step verification nobody seems to be able to help us recover the lost PW for our account.

I can't understand why Xbox support can not give access to this account by removing the 2 step verification so that we can change the PW to login with our gamertag and play all the games on this account. Especially when we are able to provide the proof of purchase of the games and I am also able to show ID.

Hopefully someone is able to help us out so that she can use the gamertag and start enjoying the games she bought.

Even if I can provide proof of purchase and provide ID?

Xbox support could easily replace the old email with a new one (there is already a new email added to the account) and send a verification code to this 2nd email AFTER proof of purchase of games and ID

I dont understand why this is no option?

Here is how you get a new app password.

1.Sign in to your Microsoft account. (www.outlook.com)

2.Under Password and security info, tap or click Edit security info.

If you're prompted for a security proof, enter it and tap or click Submit.

3.Under App passwords, tap or click Create a new app password.

A new app password is generated and appears on your screen.

4.When you’re prompted for your Microsoft account password on your Xbox console, enter the app password that you created online.

After you sign in with your app password, you're all set to use that app or device. You will use this new app password to sign in to your device instead of your Microsoft account password.

That should let you access your account to download it from Xbox LIVE.
