2 questions about ULTIMATE PASS

Good morning everyone

I d like to buy a 3th months ultimate pass in order to have both Gold and Game pass at the same time, but I d like to know same information before buying that:

1 I actually still have 3 months remaining on my profile (only Gold subscription, I never had a game pass subscription before ) : could I buy a 12 months gold subscription N then convert it into ultimate by exploiting your offer in order to have 16 months
of ultimate pass or it is an offer intended only for people who already have a game pass?

2 if I 'm not satisfied of ultimate pass, AT THE END OF ULTIMATE PASS SUBSCRIPTION AND ONLY AFTER HAVING CANCELING THE AUTOMATIC RENEWAL, could I go back to exclusively gold subscription or I could only re-sign for an ultimate pass subscription?

Hi there,

1, Yes you can convert all your remaining gold or gampass up to 36 months by upgrading via the offer, if its still available to you.

2, I believe after your Ultimate expires you can carry on with just XBLG if you so wish. Hope this answers you question.

Thx a lot. Unfortunately the Italian version of FAQ didn't mention the possibility of going back to simple gold subscription when ultimate pass subscription ends. So can I still exploit ultimate pass conversion offer?

Yes, you can get 12 months of Gold and then convert to get the 16 months of Ultimate. That's not an exploit but rather an incentive to convert since when first joining, whatever time you already have on Gold or Game Pass will carry over to Ultimate, as many
people already had Gold and Game Pass together.

Once your Ultimate subscription ends by turning off auto renewal, you can go back to just Gold with no restrictions. You aren't restricted to just subscribing to Ultimate after trying it. You can find more information by reading the

Hi Darth,

As many have stated you are able to use the incentive to get the 16 months of Ultimate. As Diego stated when your Ultimate ends, you can go back to Xbox live gold. As this thread has been answered I will be locking this thread, to prevent repetitive answers.

Hey there! I know for sure that you can definitely stop doing Ultimate when its over and go back to just GOLD if you'd like to.

I'm unsure if the conversion pre-upgrade is available the same as it was before. I assume so, but I'd have to do a little more digging first.
