  1. 2 Problems - One Ethernet connection, the other Stereo Headset Adapter

First, I'll start off with the ethernet connection. I've been playing on the Xbox One on Wifi, which isn't as reliable as an actual ethernet cable plugged in. I have no problems signing on or playing Wifi, but with an ethernet cable plugged into the Xbox
One, I'm immediately signed out and I won't have internet connection or be able to connect at all. I know it isn't the cord, because I plug it into the 360 all the time and it works great. I would like to be able to use an ethernet cable for my Xbox One, so
what can I do to remedy this situation?

Second, I'm already upset about the stupid stereo headset adapter...What was wrong with the 360-like version? They just wanted to make $28 dollars on some $2 lock-like sound control? Anyways, my headset adapter has 5 buttons. Two on the left to switch from
voice chat to game chat, two on the right to increase or decrease the volume, and the mute button in the middle. The mute button works, but the two on the left and the two on the right do the exact same thing, increase or decrease the volume. I have no control
over chat or game volume. I cannot adjust them separately. This is quite annoying.

    :)

  3. Xbox One S and Official Stereo Headset Adapter not recognized

    Hi Zathrus,

    We have two of the
    Xbox Stereo Headset
with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and both sets have worked well with no problems for sometime now. And I have used the
adapter with non-Microsoft headset with no issues. So, given that you say your "3.5 mm cabled headset " works directly connected to the controller, then I regret to say it would seem that the fault lies with the adapter itself and may need to be replace.

2 Problems - One Ethernet connection, the other Stereo Headset Adapter

    1. Are you getting any error codes on your problem? What is the connection test telling you? Have you configured any Portforwardings or DMZ for the wireless connection? If so, you need to reconfigure them, as wired and wireless connection use different ip
    addresses.

    2. The buttons on the left side are to control the balance between party chat and ingame sound, the buttons on the right are overall volume control. So you have first to setup the balance between the two sources with the left buttons and then you can use
the right ones to increase our decrease the volume for both sources together.

    Edit on item #2

It's not meant to be "party chat" but "chat". Whether ingame or party. But the buttons are not switching between game or party chat, but to control the balance between game sounds and voice chat.

    Xbox one App

•Some third-party products come with a stereo headset adapter that may look different from the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter made by Microsoft, but they all function the same way.

•You can only connect an Xbox 360 Chat Headset using the stereo headset adapter with a 2.5-mm to 3.5-mm converter, which comes with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter. The Xbox One Stereo Headset does not include this adapter cable.

I have a similar problem see below

Xbox one original controller, stereo headset adapter and headset and I can hear in game chat but as soon as I connect to party chat, they can hear me but I cannot hear them. I tried the original headset that comes with the xbox one and it worked so I figured
it was the stereo adapter. so I purchased a new stereo adapter and have the same issue. so I purchased a new controller with 3.5mm jack. I have the same issue. but if I use my headset connected to the 3.5mm jack on the new controller party chat works fine,
but doesn't work connected to stereo adapter (and I tried 2) So I thought I would try on my sons xbox one (we have 2 xbox ones in the house) so we swapped headsets , controllers and stereo adapters and I had the same problem on my xbox one. whereas his was
working fine (and he was using my controller, headset and adapter) So it would seem to be an issue with my console, that is the only hardware difference. any ideas?
