2 Preloaded Game Questions

I am going to try and word this the best I can.

First Question: I know you can't play a preloaded game until 12:01AM on the games release date. So my question is, is the 12:01AM based on your time zone or a specific time zone (EX: 12:01UTC).





Second question: What stops someone from setting the XBOX/PlayStation internal clock/date to the games release date and playing it early?

Normally I'd suggest you check your download history at
billing.microsoft.com, but since these games are not downloaded, that wouldn't apply.



The only alternate I can think of is the launch Arcade 360's came with a compilation disc containing those games. You should be able to find that disc second hand for less than pocket change.

my xbox came preloaded with pacman championchip edition, boom boom rocket, luxor 2 and uno but i deleted all of them exept for uno and i was wondering if there was a way to get them back without paying ms points

 

it is based on the time zone that you are in and you need to download a small amount of data to unlock the game at 12.01am therefore if you tried changing your time while off-line you still cant play because you need the connection to the net to activate
the game and if your online the clock goes by microsofts setting and cannot be changed. thats why you cant play early.

 

It should say what time zone in the description details. At that is how it worked with Gears of war ultimate edition. A friend tried using the time zone trick but the game said it would not release until 12:01 EST in the description so the time zone change
did not work.

 

Thank you for your quick replies. I pretty much figured that changing the time/date wouldn't work, nor would I risk my account trying it.. just thought it was worth asking.
