2-or-more players per console on Xbox Live?

I recently purchased Blur with plans to play with my girlfriend and her family; local split screen and online together. Then I found out only one player can play per console when on Xbox Live with the game. Am wondering if there is a list or resource that
will tell me the games (racing and otherwise) that can go on Xbox Live with 2-or-more players per console, like Borderlans 2 or Halo Reach, etc.

Not possible in games like COD or BF4 as more players in the game on next gen,. current consoles couldn't manage with the 64 players per game

yeah battlefield four will be on both consoles, but will I imagine use different servers, as more players per game on new xbox

 

This is a good question. Unfortunately it seems developers are abandoning this kind of playmode. I too would like to play online with my wife on the couch next to me instead of on another console in another room

 

JPep, just move the other TV and console into the same room, problem solved.

Full screen is so much better than split screen IMPO.

 

Unfortunately I can neither afford the space or the cost at the moment. Probly showing my age but my family and I would play split screen for hours. For me it was one advantage I feel consoles had over PC's. You could enjoy a game together without the hassle
of setting up multiple units in a LAN. I know graphics and gameplay may suffer A bit but for me it was worth the enjoyment of playing together instead of headsets and different setups.
