2 Issues - My Child Can't Play Indie Game w/out Passcode (Castleminer Z) & It ...

So these are probably easy to answer and something I just can't find a result on, but here goes:

1) My son is 10 and requested Castleminer Z - an Indie game. From what I understand, Indie games are not "rated" by ESRB but rather by users. Generally, if I feel that a game is suitable for my son to play (i.e., a "standard" DVD-based game), then I punch
in the passcode and unlock it. I subsequently select the option to allow this game each and every time going forward. For some reason, I cannot do that with this game. I have to punch in the code each time. I would rather not give my son the code as that defeats
the purpose. I thought about moving his rating from E10+ to T on the rating. However, a) that may allow him to see other games that I'd rather him not play, and b) since this is an Indie game and not ESRB rated, it may not work.

2) The other issue he has is that his profile consistently logs itself out. When he moves from one game to another, it logs out. I can't find any reason why it does this, and it's a pain to watch (much the less play).

Indie games offline?

I know I bought CastleMiner Z only to find out there is no offline play with out internet. I'm often without internet on my xbox because my room has no internet. I'm pretty mad that I paid for this and can't use it when I want to. MS really needs a disclaimer
when you buy indie games.

He is custom already. What exact setting do I need to change? And what is "rp"?
