2 Gamertags 1 Email Address

Hello,

I have changed the email address on my Microsoft account via "manage how you sign into microsoft" to an email address that already had a Microsoft account (i don't know how it allowed me to)

I did this because i created my Xbox Profile years ago with a very old email address and wanted to update it to my current email address. At some point throughout the last few years I used my current email address to create another Xbox Profile that i never
use and have always wanted to delete.

So today I "managed how i sign in" by changing to my current email, and deleting the old email i used to sign in, and all went well, until i signed in with the changed email and it showed me the gamertag to the unused profile (the one it was originally made
with) and i see no option to switch what Xbox Profile Im on.

When i try signing in with the old/deleted email address it says that there is no account found.

On my Xbox One, i see both gamertags & my current email address associated with both of them, but i cannot login and access the one I normally use.

How can i fix this? I am afraid that when I eventually get a new xbox or ever have to sign in, it will sign into the old/unused profile.

This is an issue I'd reach out to Official Support for? There is very little we can do, other than what you can also do, and don't have access to look at the back end or fix
anything, that official support might be able to see or do.

Now, I'd be curious what happens when you log into the
Xbox profile site with each account if it would show different Xbox profiles? I had an old account with one email address, and it is currently apart of my current Microsoft Account as an alias, but logs in differently with each discrete email for the two
Xbox profiles. You might want to log into them to test with different browsers to make sure it doesn't auto log in with another Microsoft Account?

But again, there is little we can do but poke and prod at a few things, which seems like it might agitate what you're worried about, and
Official Support might be the best route.

There has to be some minute difference in the email addresses there is no way that it would allow you to do this like the other ambassadors have said you would need to contact xbox support they can help you out with this.

Im not even able to sign into the old account - because i changed the email address. The one i originally used, i deleted so that email has no account associated anymore - i cant even log into outlook with it.. I guess that email address is actually gone
now?

The email address i switched it to does not show my current Xbox Profile, it shows the profile that was originally created with it - which makes sense, i just dont understand why it would allow me to change it in the first place because of this exact issue.

I guess i will need to call support for this.

Call support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX Option 2 and explain you know your gamertag but forgot the Microsoft Account email address.
