  1. 2 faulty xbox one's in one day......:(


    So I decided to finally buy an xbox one. *yay! (for a little while*

    Got it all unboxed and hooked up, installed some apps, played with wwe app (watched summerslam), fiddled with the Netflix app. All was well until I tried putting in a disc. It accepted it (it sucked it in).....but wouldn't spin up and read.....the system
    never registered a disc was in. (tried the 2 games I bought, and a few different blu-rays).

    Took the faulty unit back to where I purchased it, exchanged it for another.

    2nd one, drive worked.........for a little while........attempted to eject disc wouldn't eject. Did the manual eject (paper clip in hole). Got the disc out okay, but the drive had died.....it will no longer accept discs...

    Ok 3rd times a charm, or I'm getting my money back and giving up *fingers crossed*

    yeah its just a joke day one edition my *** lets just hope when i do get it it aint one of those faulty one's be just my luck lol

    Grrrrrrrr Microsoft Cust Service

    I had a faulty pad (down on the dpad did not click and was unreliable). Phoned up game and they had a returned day one console (faulty drive) and they just swapped the pad straight over. I think, they would have offered to replace with new (non day one )handset if they didn't have the faulty returned xbox one.

    Getting two bad Xboxes is pretty rare. The third Xbox should work. It's a great console, so stick with it and find a working one!! 2 faulty xbox one's in one day......:( :)

  5. make that 3.......sending the 3rd one in for repair/replacement. don't trust going back to same store, imagining the whole batch is damaged...... and of course because its raining/pouring xbox's repair service is down......have to call back later.......this
    has been a nightmare........

  6. Same problem, 2 faulty Xbone in one day, customer service did literally nothing other than tell me to turn it off and on again, starting to wonder if just a faulty batch or what the problem is...

  9. Yup. I got bit by the bug on the august update with console #3. (I had legitimate hardware issues with the 1st two consoles......the 3rd one downloaded the update (it hadn't been released yet the night before with the 1st two consoles)......I will wait patiently
    for update........(and play demos, and maybe even buy a digital game or two in the meanwhile.......).

    Bought my Xbox One through a program from my work. Waited a week to get it in after purchase, unpacked it no problems, hooked it up, no problems, installed some apps, downloaded my free xbox live gold games, played a little with the games, then went to install
    CoD ghosts and the drive began growling at me and wouldn't load the game, same result with blue rays and dvd's. Called the company I bought it through told to use my service warrantee I bought, service warrantee people told me it was a defective unit and
    need to take it back to store. System was shipped to me from Best Buy, called best buy and told it was a manufacturers problem, they would not exchange or repair it. Called Microsoft got repair scheduled and shipped xbox to them 2 day air. I don't want to
    wait 3-6 weeks to get it back. I paid a lot for this unit and have not been able to enjoy it yet, but I'm stuck with it. HOW DO I EXPEDITE the service on this unit to get a working unit in my hands in a decent time frame???

  11. Xbox support assured me there would be a fix in 24 hrs, its been 48 and nothing has been done. I wonder if ps4 is having this problem...

    Everyone else: If you were having the disc read error, we suggest taking the console back to the retailer for an exchange. If that one doesn't work, then please set up a repair through us. You can do so by using either the Online
    Service Center
    or by contacting support. This is the
    only official way that that issue will be resolved. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
