2-Day Trial for Xbox Live Gold not working.

I received a 2-day trial code for Xbox Live Gold and I put it onto my Xbox, typing the code, etc. When I went to play Destiny and use the code, the multiplayer levels were locked and it said that I did not meet the requirement of having Xbox Live Gold, while
having all of the other requirements. I then looked onto my account and saw that on my "Manage Membership" tab, the 2-Day trial for Gold was grayed out and I could not click on it or see what was wrong. Please help, I don't want to waste my trial!

bought my son plants vs. zombies for Xbox 1. It comes with a code to redeem 2 day trial Xbox live gold. The code is not working. Can you help?

 

Multiplayer Gamer Profile Not Allowed?

Yes, you certainly can. The bottom of a 2 Day Gold Pass states the following:

XBOX LIVE 2-Day gold Membership, free trial allows access to these Gold features: online multiplayer gaming, Netflix, ESPN on XBOX Live, Facebook, free game demos, exclusive discounts, promotions and video content.

Free 2-day trial offer is only for use on the XBOX 360 and is not valid for current XBOX Live Gold Members. At the end of your 2-day trial period, your membership will default to the FREE XBOX Live Membership, unless you elect to extend your XBOX Live Gold
Membership.

Now what this doesn't tell you is that you cannot play in ranked matches with the trial membership, but you are free to play in social matchmaking playlists for games.

 

Trial subscriptions do not change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer, but not all modes will work with trials. Destiny requires a full gold subscription, so trials will not work with that game.

 

Actually some different trials of 2day set to gold. Every now and then I get one that doesn't set me gold. But yes. Most of the time it only gives you limited access to xbox live told

Thanks for your reply but for future reference it would be best not to bump older threads. Especially those that have been resolved.

As for the trial memberships. None will set you as gold, even temporarily. Odds are that what you experienced may have been due to adding a membership during a free gold weekend which would have given you full access to gold features during that time.
