Yes, I have an unused code for Gold, if anybody wants it. I got it free with my copy of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and I don't need the code.

If you redeem it, you can download MGS V: Ground Zeroes and Metro: Last Light. for free with gold. You can redeem it on the the 31st, and then you can download first batch of free games with gold on the 1st September.

Xbox live gold without without free games ?

Was it a gold trial, or a full gold code?

If it was only a 2 day or 14 day gold trial, you can not get the free games.

You can't downoload the games with gold with an xbox live trial,you need to have a full gold membership.

You also need a gold subscription in order to play the games anyway,it's not the same as the 360.

The Xbox Live Trial codes are available when you purchase games or console bundles. The prepaid code for the free trial can be a 2, 3 or 14 day Xbox Live Gold trial membership. To know more about Xbox Live Free Trial

Trials don't change your account status to gold. Some of them will only work with the game they came with and they will not work with all game modes.

Thanks for your quick anwser, I didn't knew that, but is it normal that the two trial that i got didn't even worked on the game I got them from, in any mode, and what about the 2 days Gold prepayed card i bought ?

The 2 day code is also a "trial." MIcrosoft doesn't actually sell 2 day cards. They are usually free. Someone just sold you a 2 day "free" trial.

You don't have any sort of a free trial attached to your account. If you were offered a 30 day trial on the console dashboard you'll need to add a payment method in order to take advantage of it.

If you redeemed a trial code like a 2 day or 14 day trial, or even a 30 day trial code from a redemption card then you wouldn't need any sort of payment details. The 2 day/14 day card doesn't give you gold status but lets you play online for the stated days
(2 or 14 days, depending on what you redeemed), or 30 days (which will give you gold status) if you redeemed it from a gold subscription card.

If I understand you correctly. You're wondering why there's no change even after you redeemed both your 2 days and 14 days trial codes, right? If that's what you're referring to then that's exactly what should happen. If you redeem a trial code except for
the one month free trial, your account will still remain as silver. Trial codes are not recognized as gold subscription so you won't see anywhere on your account that you're gold. But you should be able to access some of the gold features.
