    My son has an xbox one and I have an xbox x but we can't use them both at the same time, I've made a separate profile thinking this would work and have tried following advice but nothing seems to work,either that or I'm not doing it right?.

    No. only one child account per parent. If you have 2 children then you would have to have 2 parent accounts.

    Have you set one of the consoles as both of your home xbox?

    Just my xbox x is set for home xbox but the xbox one has automatic log in?
