2 consoles, sharing games and Gold.

Hi All

First of all, apologies - Im sure Im not the first to ask this, so there may already be an answer somewhere - but I couldnt find it.

This isnt a bashing thread where I rage because I cant do x,y,z..

Its a post to ask what I need to do.

Scenario:

I have twin boys and I purchased them both an xbox one console.

I have created a master account (my account) and have created them a family account each in their own name.

I have subscribed to EA and Gold on my account assuming that as theya re in my family, they can both have the benefits (I dont play the xbox).

They have been gifted some games that are download on my account, and have purchased some that are disk and installed via my account (on both machines)

One console is marked as home, and this has the fewest issues.

Question:

How do I make it so that they can both play the same game, at the same time, on their own console, online.... ?

If the answer is simply by 2 of everythng in their own name (gold, games etc) then fine - at least I know what to do to fix it.

Minecraft Xbox One

If you have 2 Xbox One's then you can share Gold and also share games that are purchased Digitally as Greasy mentions above.

You buy Gold & Games on one of the Gamertags and then you load that Gamertag onto the other console and set it as Home Console and it will share the games and gold to that console.

If you did not want to use that option and still need 2 Gold Accounts then check out CDkeys as you can get 12 months of Gold for about £25 each and also you can get a 5% Discount liking their Facebook page. You could get 2 12 months subs for under £50

 

How many Xbox Live subscriptions do I need?

@ M3tal Daz,i know how home & gold sharing works,that's why the op would only need 2 gold subs.

2 consoles & accounts could share gold & digital games using the home console feature.

The 3rd console & account would need their own separate gold sub & copy of digital games.

Perhaps you should better read the conditions of using the gold sharing/home xbox features.

Obviously you would need all 3 consoles connected to live in order to play online,that was not the question.

 

The best thing to do would be to purchase everything on one of their accounts instead of yours. Then one of the boys sets one console as their Home console so the other boy can access the content. The first boy would then still be able to sign into the other
console and access everything on his account.
