2 Achievements not unlocking, despite recieving notifications from Xbox and the Xbox app on my ...

So heres the story, as short as I should make it. Due to financial issues, we couldn't pay for our WiFi bill in time, until pay day last friday. We were without internet last thursday, no biggie. So I decided to play some Skyrim
offline. I ended up completing the entire Dark Brotherhood questline, which lands me with 2 new unlocked achievements, (specifically ''Bound Until Death'' and ''Hail Sithis!''), when I reconnect to Xbox Live, right? Unfortunately, to this day, they still aren't
(technically, which I'll explain) unlocked.

But I haven't even got to the strange part.

Last night I hop on youtube. Mid video I randomly pop 2 achievements. Guess which? Yes, those 2 that didn't unlock when I reconnected to Xbox Live. I was happy they finally unlocked, or so I thought. About 20 minutes later I hop
back on Skyrim with new found inspiration to play. So I look to see what achievements I should unlock next. I start scrolling down the list and...wait a second. Why are these 2 achievements not unlocked?! Yes they definitely are on my ''locked'' page of Skyrim
achievents.

So, whats going on, Microsoft? I need help!

Few details I need to add here, or else you'll be seeing way to many perentheces.

• The friday we got paid and also the day we paid our internet bill, I started up multiple games to resync their previously un synced data. I did this because the thursday I had no internet I attempted to play several different games and would discover my
  saved files were all missing. I had recently-ish got a new console and havent played these games on the new console yet. I also took the time to start up Skyrim to sync up my offline data when I was doing this for the other games. Thats when I found the problem.
  From what I recall, not a single game had opened that window that opens when your data is syncing, including Skyrim.
• The achievements showed up only on Smartglass and under ''Recent achievements'', but did not show up on my activity feed, nor my ''unlocked'' List for Skyrim Achievements. I ended up manually sharing the achievements from my recently unlocked to my
  feed to see if it'd do anything, but nothing happened.

Achievement Notifications are pointless and can't be disabled

Every time I unlock an Achievement while playing on my Xbox One, I now get a notification from the Xbox App on my iPhone.

This is a totally pointless "feature". When I've unlocked an Achievement, I am quite obviously
on my Xbox, and as such will already know that I've just unlocked an Achievement - spamming the Xbox App on my phone with notifications about the same Achievements is utterly unnecessary, and
extremely annoying.

There is also no way to turn it off without disabling all notifications for the Xbox App.

The notification settings in the Xbox App on iOS let you enable/disable notifications for Messages, Friends, Clubs, etc., and yet there is no option to specifically turn off this completely redundant "feature".

 

Achievements not popping up

Update:

Tonight I was on Xbox and achievement notification were not popping again apart from 2 but they all unlocked perfectly fine but also a party notification from my friend did not pop up.

Just notification over all seem to be intermittent from time to time.

 

Are the achievements at 100% in your achievementslist?

If so, they should pop eventually.

Sometimes it can take some time.

 

You do need to be connected to Xbox Live for the achievements to show, and after connecting, it can take a while for those to sync back up.

I've had achievements take a few weeks to suddenly unlock in Life is Strange. I've had others that never unlocked in games like AC: Origins, Kona and Condemned.

 

Nothings working. Says its a bad request when i go to view my profile. Plus the guy above and you didnt do the math. It says up to 72 hours, stuff becomes synced. Its been more than that since friday morning when I booted up Skyrim. Also, last night I recieved
notifications on my phone and xbox, saying I unlocked these 2 achievements. Does that mean it has only partially synced? Well that doesn't sound right.

Gonna power cycle for the 5th time in 3 days, if it doesnt work than I most likely require a dev to take a crack. Thanks for your help. Though I just don't see things on my end working for this.

 

The fact that you're getting Bad Request error when you try to view your profile leads me to believe it might be something else.

Where are you getting the error message? On the console, or on Xbox.com?

Also, you recieved the notification on your phone that the achievements unlocked? Where are you seeing that it's not unlocked, on the console, xbox.com, or Xbox App?

Are you having issues with other games and achievements, or just these two right now?

 

Thats why I'm looking for help. If the notifications hadn't have popped up on my phone through the xbox app, and the notifications on my xbox, then I wouldn't be here. I'm only here because I fear they may be permanently locked or something, otherwise I
was going to eventually create a new character and redo it all. Plus If you've read my whole post, then you'd see at least half your questions would be answered, however, I'm getting the error through microsoft edge on xbox.com. Disregard this though, because
I was able to check on my phone. Xbox.com also says its unlocked. I just checked again though on xbox, and still both achievements are on the locked page. I'm not reading the unlocked page. Im not dumb, trust me. Console says its unlocked through ''recent
achievements'' and notifications. I manually shared them to my feed to see if anything would happen, but nothing did. And no, just the 2. Last month I played a lot of Assassins creed origins offline, got back on xbox live, and popped like 20 achievements immediately
after the data sync window came and went.

 

No they aren't. You need to read the post.

 

I've read the post, we're just jumping all over the place. Trying to make sure I have the relevant information correct.

From what I can tell, Xbox.com says your achievements are unlocked, Recent Achievements say it's unlocked, notifications show it's unlocked, it's just not reflected in the Achievement List for the game on the console.

At this point, although it's different from some of the above links provided, I think this will resolve itself, and you shouldn't worry. If Xbox.com shows it's unlocked and the actual gamerscore was added to your account value, those would be the authoritative
source.

Just to make sure, I'd recommend signing up at TrueAchievements.com and let your achievements sync over there and see if it recognizes that those achievements are unlocked. If so, then I'd say you're in the clear, and it will get updated in due time.

 

Something similar happened to me with both Mortal Kombat X and Gears of War 4. It might depend on the game or Xbox Live itself, but in MK's case they appeared literally months later. That was a bit of an extreme case though.

They aren't showing up on TA, but neither are a few others, because I think it takes a few days to update

 

You should be able to request a scan up to three times a day, for non-pro users. TrueAchievements FAQ - START HERE

I say to check them because they are pulling the data from the back end, and it's kinda just acing as an external validation check to make sure that data is matching up. So see if you can request a scan update and it should provide pretty quick results
back what it's showing.

I'd also be very interested to see what the Achievement List in the game would say when you're signed into a different console. Wonder if it's maybe the cached data on your system? The "achievements" app on there, as it is? Do you have a friend that has
an Xbox One you can sign into and see if it shows different information?
