2.4 Hour D'Endurance Race

I participated ad finished this race last night and oh boy, what a race it was. My left hand and thumb started to cramp something shocking halfway through and is still aching today. It's been years since I last done an endurance race like that in a racing
game. Has anyone else done this race? If so, how did you find it?

What is the best game for a real 24hour race

Yup GT5 is the only game on a console with a TRUE 24 hour race along with day night cycle and weather. Grid has a 24 hour race but it is only about 30 minutes if I remember correctly. You could set up a 24 hour race in Forza 3 or Forza 4 but like you
said it would have to be hot laps. If you tried this online in any game you would probably get disconnected for sure within a 24 hour period.

 

What is the best game for a real 24hour race

Like everyone else has said GT5 is the only game that has true 24 hour races. Forza 4 doesnt have any endurance races at all. Forza 3 has endurance races but nowhere near 24 hours worth.

 

I have been considering this race... any advice on prep? Bananas for potassium or aspirin before hand... forgive the pun...?

 

2.4 hour race? Damn my hand was cramped up in one fight of Killer Instinct.

 

The only way I'd ever even consider attempting something like that would be with a wheel...my hands would be a gnarled mess after 144 nonstop minutes of racing with a control pad.

 

Advice would be not to do it using manual with clutch... I felt sorry for my LB button afterwards.

The race wan a Hopper event on the main part of multiplayer menu, reference to Le Mans 24 Hours is my guess.

 

^Your guess would be correct, the 82nd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans took place this past weekend, June 14-15.

 

Interesting. I can only imagine how much concentration those drivers must have, especially in the early days when drivers would drive for longer spells.

 

On these lines... Listed MIA and I completed the Achievement for running 200 miles on Nurburgring in a German car. It took 1h59m45sec. My wrist was killing me when I finished but I now have the title and badge. Now if I can get in the 2.4 D'Endurance
before it goes away. Had trouble getting a hopper. Anyone else having that issue?

 

When I next have the free time to sit down uninterrupted, I plan on racing the 2.4 Hours of the Ring. This time in automatic to save my finger and controller.

 

I might be running it this evening if I can appease the better-half. I get home 7-ish and couldn't start it until 8-ish at the earliest. All Times are CDT (-6GMT)
