2/15 Update TV won't turn on but turns off

Since the 2/15 update the x1 no longer turns my Samsung TV on but has no issue controlling TV otherwise or turning the TV off. The setup was working perfectly before the update downloaded early mornining but after it applied it no longer works. I folllowed
the setup instructions after a reset, have triple checked which power settings are toggled and have cycled through different on/off sequences with the x1,TV and cable box but the only outcome has been that the x1 does not get the TV to turn on.

Xbox no longer turns on TV

For about a week my Xbox no longer turns on my TV when saying "Xbox On" or even turning on the Xbox manually. The receiver turns on, the Xbox turns on, but not the actual TV. The TV will turn off when I say "Xbox Turn Off" so it's very strange. I've reset
the TV settings and the "Mute" test it sends works perfect.

I recently cancelled my cable and removed the box around the same time as the 2/15 update so I'm not sure which actually caused the problems.

Any thoughts? I need to figure this out so my wife gets off my case.

 

Same thing here with my Samsung TV. Any updates to this?

 

If you go into tv & one guide settings and I think devices you will find tick boxes for turning devices on and off. If they are already on try turning them off save changes then turn them on again.

If that fails reset tv settings and run tv setup again.

 

Those were the first and third things I tried when the issue first appeared. The only option I considered but haven't tried is a factory reset.

 

Can i suggest that if you tried to do automatic setup that it won't work. I manually entered the TV model and have had no problems since doing so.

 

I tried that as well. Neither manual or automatic make a difference. It appears to be sending the off command when the xbox turns on.

 

I have a minor update. I manually entered in my TV info and that seemed to fix the Issue with the TV shutoff. Then after the last updates, my Onkyo receiver turns on then off again during the power up cycle. Tv cable box and the one all start fine and once
I manually turn the receiver back on, controls work fine with voice. I would like to not have to stand up every time j say Xbox On because of this issue though.

 

I was trying to figure out why my devices turned off but not on. The problem was that power mode had to be instant on for it to work.
