2/14 Update broke harmony remote functionality for TV app.

Hi I have a harmony remote programmed to work with my Xbox one. Until yesterday everything worked just fine, then after the update the media controls from the remote do not control anything anymore. I can hit the pause button, the icons pop up and the pause
button is big like I just selected it.... but nothing happens, I hit stop, same thing.

It seems the problem is only when I use the remote media commands, when I use the directional buttons to select the icon on screen the function executes perfectly by sending out the IR command with Kinect. The remote media controls work in every other app,
it just doesn't send out the IR command in the TV app.

Harmony remote compatibility with Blu Ray app after February update

I have dedicated buttons for View/Menu on my Harmony One remote. After the recent update in February, I noticed my View/Menu buttons no longer worked in the Blu Ray app. Using the same remote, the buttons still work as expected on the home screen so it's
not like the View/Menu commands simply stopped working altogether, just in the Blu Ray app. I've heard others mention similar problems when trying to control TV. The XB1 controller still works just fine in regard to View/Menu in the Blu Ray app.

I tried removing the device in the Logitech software and re-adding as others have done who had Power On/Off issues, but no luck. With recent news of a media remote, I'm wondering if this recent update had something in it that affected those commands from
non-XB1 accessories in the media apps?

Edit: to clarify, I'm referring to the update around Valentine's Day -- not the 2/19 or 2/20 one that fixed issues playing discs

Could Xbox One boot to the TV app in full screen?

+1. I'm in the same boat here. Harmony remote, 7mc htpc/dvr, unable to boot to tv app without wonky, long macros

 

I'm having the same sort of problem with my Directv DVR. The Xbox gets the signal from my Harmony remote because the icons come up on the bottom of the screen, but nothing happens on my DVR, except for a few times it works, but has like a less than 10%
success rate.

I don't understand how companies f#ck up things that worked perfectly fine with these updates. It worked, why was it *** with?

 

I just tried using the play, FF, Rew, etc, using my Xbox One controller and they work fine. The problem has to do with being input from the Harmony remote, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense because the Xbox One gets the signal from the Harmony remote,
but then doesn't output it to the Directv box.

 

What Harmony remote do you have?

Sorry for the long reply, I have a harmony one remote and same exact thing as you. Maybe it is just a DirecTv thing? I am going to get the xbox media remote anyway and see if that fixes it?

 

In harmony desk top app access "settings" under devices "xbox one". look for change ir delay and select it. look for "interkey delay". it should be at like 100ms. increase it to 300ms. slect next, or ok on the subsequent screens and then update the remote.
