I love the voice controls whether it be turning console on or off or navigating from games to Netflix, voice control on Netflix is cool, beats using the controller hands down. I love the way it recognises my missus and just switches to her stuff when she
picks up the controller. Kinect Fitness is a seriously good use of Kinect and is certainly not gimmicky. I also like the implementation in games, head tracking in Forza, cover lean in BF and the DR3 stuff when a zombie grabs hold or the noise attracts
em. It's all small but cool stuff in my opinion. If it's not for you that's fair enough.

 

... it does annoy me when it randomly thinks I've waved at it and brings up those damned hands...

 

Lol! Know what you mean! I forgot to add even Kinect Sports is a laugh and makes a change from the norm.

And I agree Lofty that the novelty has worn off it's just an integral part of how I use my console and navigate the UI now, just do it without thinking, beats buttons and menus IMHO.

This is what has always been missing from kinect for me (even on the 360) that lack of a game that would make me go out and buy a kinect seperately.

 

Occasionally I like to go to 'what Kinect see's' and switch to thermo vision and pretend i'm being hunted by Predator - i've got a lot of growing up to do..

 

To be honest I'm not to fussed about a killer Kinect title, I'm happy using it as a primary way to control the console and manage profiles. Worth every penny.

I totally agree, it makes life a lot easier doing these little tasks. I've also really liked the way it's already been used in some games, I really have no doubt it is one smart piece of kit.

Of course it's early days yet but I was always saying I liked that they included Kinect with every console, I believed it give it a better chance than the first one, more developers getting on board so I hope we start seeing it soon, unless I was wrong all
along which wouldn't be the first time lol

+1 I refuse to pay a large sum of money for something I know I won't use.
