I see IGN, etc have picked up on this and are pumping it out as "news".... seriously, what has happened to journalism in the games industry????

Flopps - it's journalism in general. This kind of sloppiness is not confined to gaming journalism.

Most of it's gone down the crapper!

I know not the most popular site for news but I've always checked Shopto News over the last year or so, one of it's staff have turned into a right fanboy. He's been pulled up loads of times on Twitter/Shopto about it, his reply once to it was .... "I game where
I want to and it so happens only one platform has my interest" ...

Ok fair enough, we all game where we want, surely though being a game journalist you should be covering all platforms?

The key words for any self respecting journo or even an amateur article writer should be "non biased" sadly that no longer seems to be the case.

 

alot to look forward to ... tbh the next HDD should be at least 2TB if MS wants a disc less, all digi system ! oh and the prices competitive !

 

Probably still won't have the ability to upgrade with a 3rd party HDD.

 

Dont like the idea of being lumbered with games you cant get into or dislike, at least with discs you can sell/trade, alot of changes are needed to tempt me into this all digital idea.

 

Steam like prices and regular decent offers are the only thing that will make this idea successful.

 

Drop Kinect and offer it for under £300 and im in.

 

Don't really see why you are so anti Kinect, I could understand the sceptics pre launch, but as the majority (not all) of users on here at least have all said that it's a cool part of the console and adds something to the experience I can't see why you
wouldn't be a little more open minded about it. Have you used a One for any length of time?

Im anti kinect for the sole reason that the price of the console would be cheaper if MS dropped the kinect, i would rather have a game for that money. I personally dont want one, i see no benefit it brings (the subs in fifa are cool but thats it) granted
others feel differently, each to their own etc.

What do you find so great about it other than the voice controls if you dont mind me asking?

 

Tbh, Kinect is a cool bit of kit, but given the option I probably wouldn't of bought it as a peripheral. Aside from "xbox, Record that" I rarely make much use of it.

I agree it's a very cool piece of kit but for me anyway, now the novelty has worn off a little, in my opinion it needs a killer .. "Kinect Only" .. title to really show what it can possibly do.
