    Can someone help I have a 1tb elite xbox I also have a 3tb external hard drive seagate I have my games on my external when I turn on its says it sees the external but when I try to play it is asking me if I own this game i have to hard reset for it to work
    but if I move the game to internal it works every time I also have a 500gb xbox which I have tried the external on with no problems so it is not the external this is my 3rd elite xbox in 5 months so need help no body is listening tried reset also

    1tb elite xbox with external hard drive issues

    Can i as is this a seagate backup plus by any chance.

    Also have you tried another 3.0 cables, i know some of the cables seagate supply with HDD are actually rubbish, i had to by two to find one that worled with my extranl seagate HDD.

    Hi I have no trouble with a 1tb seagate ext hdd,but I have been in contact with support over phone and also have the elite console,I basically have a problem were I will be going through the dashboard when it freezes normally by the community section,it
    then proceeds to start a previously used app or game,last night it happened it started black ops 3 up again and it then goes back to dash with just a blank screen and the home tab on its own and then everything comes back,as u have the elite console could
    u please tell me wether u have this issue before I have to send it back for repair,thank you

    External Hard Drive Not Recognised By Xbox One S Upon Waking.

    Nevermind.

    I took the SSHD out of the enclosure and replaced the hard drive in my PS4 (increasing it's capacity from 500GB to 1TB). Then I took the 1TB external hard drive from my PS4 and made it the external hard drive for my Xbox and no longer have the issue.

    It seems it was either the SSHD or the enclosure that didn't seem to quite work right as an external hard drive on the Xbox. Either way problem solved.

    No, the 500gb is a joke. you will 100% need either an external hard drive or to buy the larger 1tb hard drive. External hard drives are just the cheaper option.
