1st Subject...microphones & headphones with streaming on twitch & xbox x

Hi

So my ? is this ...I can not seem to get my mic to work on my headphones. I have tried both my beats & my cell phone headphones in the controller & in my tv controller...neither work...I have a very old headset that is for xbox specifically but the mic
is missing...I have not tried my wireless headphones yet...Suggestions?...advice?

XB1 Stereo Headset Microphone Issue

Hi,

I just purchased this yesterday and the microphone sensitivity, initially, seems to be too low with the Xbox One stereo headset.

Both controllers and console are updated with the latests patches.

When streaming through twitch and monitoring my feed, I noticed my chat audio can barely be heard over the game volume, regardless of the microphone setting on the twitch app. This complaint was also voiced by several of my viewers. I then tested the microphone
through the Skype app's sound test service. Again, microphone sensitivity seems too low in playback.

However, oddly enough, when testing the microphone through Upload Studio, the microphone sensitivity was fine. The same was true when testing the microphone with my mobile devices as well.

Please advise.

 

Adapter to add a microphone to standard headphones?

I have a number of high quality headphones, so I would rather no spend money on dedicated gaming headphones just because I need a mic. Does anyone know if a microphone/adapter that attaches inline to any headphone is available that works with the new Xbox
One controller? I am looking for something that standard headphones plug into, that contains a microphone, then that microphone connects to the Xbox One controller. Something like

this, but has a port that my headphones can plug into.

First please allow me to sayThank you for responding. I’ll check again a little later when I’m in front of my Xbox but I do want to make sure you know I am not using the chat headset that came with the Xbox X .I am trying to use my beats headset and
I tried to use my phone headset . I have wireless headsets also but I know there’s no way to connect those. But I will try some of the tips that are towards the bottom I don’t have an adapter for my controller for headsets I just have the Xbox X controller

 

your mic not work on xbox???

do you tried it on other devices??

do you check the sound setup on the xbox guide???

 

Are use both of these on a regular basis and I can hear Fine through both headphones but the microphone part of it does not work .

I have all but given up at this point honestly I have a new microphone coming on Monday and maybe that will work but apparently these do not.
