1st person games

in my opinion 1st person is not always the best way to don't get me wrong i love my my first person shooters e.g call of duty battlefield an them types of games but i don't think hack an slash adventure type games should be first person game developers should
take a page out of besthesdas book with the fallout series an give u the option of what type of game style u want to play either first or third person for example dead rising good game enjoyed playing it but dead island probably a good game but probably wont
play it simple because its first person two very similar games but to me one of them is ruined simply because its first person. Mirrors edge is a perfect example what is the point in basing a game around parkour if all the jumps tricks and twists that they
do cant be seen simply because its a first person game.

WE SHOULD HAVE A CHOICE LET US DECIDE HOW TO PLAY THE GAME......

Hold down the ... whatever it's called.... it used to be called back button on the 360 controller.

Same button you use to enter workshop mode - that one.

Hold it.

Actually I think I gave you a sorta bad tip, don't hold it, press it.

It's hold for workshop mode, press for view mode.

 

Longest sentence ever, but I agree. When I'm roaming around sometimes I like 1st person because there is nothing blocking my view, so having the option is really nice.

 

Yes it is nice that you can play first and third person in Bethesda games, but they are generally a horrible experience in third person. Skyrim did an okay job with third person, it was a step in the right direction.

 

The view of the character is made that way for a reason to create the optimal gaming environment for the player. Alot of people can't parkour and the first person view in Mirror's Edge is to give the feel that you're the one performing the stunts and whatnot.
I understand the option would be nice but the developers have it how it is for a reason.

Third person in a zombie game would be super cheap because you could check all your corners at all times and that takes the challenge out of the game.

 

the point i was tryin to make is that developers make there games for us to deliver us the best game they can and need to understand that not everyone enjoys either 1st or 3rd person, there has been many occasions where i have picked up a game cos i liked
the look of it but put it back down again cos it is 1st person. And what i was saying about bethesda was simply that they gave us a choice of how we wanted to play not about the quality of there games but the choice they gave us. But on a different note huge
fallout fan an cant wait for the next one.
