    there are various factors

the first thing to remember is no matter what plan you are on the speeds are upto X amount, so whilst you may have 1 gig download plan there are no guarantees that you will get that speed, its always upto that speed or at least in the ball park, 600mbs is nothing to be sniffed at anyways.

then there are various factors in regards to what router you are running, the biggest factor is cables, whats going into your house is it fiber from the exchange or copper wiring from the exchange, how old is the cable, what filter is being used, then how many devices are connected to your internet,do you have lead based paint on the walls, how thick are the walls, is your console wired or wirelss?

how far from the router is your console, what devices are interfering, mobile phones, tablets, smart TV's other consoles, laptops and PC's etc will always have an effect, even the type of cabinet or unit you have your console stored can affect it, any surround sound systems, bluetooth systems etc can interfere, power cables around your house, a neighbours devices mixing with signals, its a minefield of issues that can cause slowdown including throttling from your internet service provider.

then there is how far you are from the exchange so you may get an initial 1gb connection to your provider but if you are 1000 miles away from the microsoft exchange or out in the sticks somewhere its going to degrade your connection further, then there is the upload server from whatever you are trying to connect to , you could have the fastest connection on the planet but if something is capped at 1mb upload then its never going to look well your side.

honestly the list goes on, the only way you are going to get full speed is if you have a good router, good wiring, a decent ethernet cable to your console at a reasonable length, no other devices connected and nothing to interfere with your connection.

Hello abc2101, I hope everything is going well!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support.

I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I would like you to go through the following steps below:

First, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists after the previous steps have been performed here is the official link to all the network troubleshooting steps that can help sort this out for you.

The link: Troubleshoot your Xbox One network connection | Xbox Support

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

I wish you a lovely day, and I hope this helps you out! All the best!

    Kind Regards

    Stay safe, and happy gaming!

Because your internet subscription defines how fat your pipe is, not how fast others will deliver you that data. Large bandwidth is designed to support multiple video streams and users, not shoving 100+MB a second at you, and very few providers, including Xbox in my experience, will send you data at even half that. Your geographic location, and the wuakity of equipment between you and the test point will all affect ping and bandwidth
