    1GB System Update taking hours, is this normal?


    I've removed all other devices from my wi-fi and a 1.2GB system DL I'm forced to do at setup has been going for two hours and is just over 25%

    is this normal? Is this what I should expect from MS when I'm forced to do a sys update?

    The device is in range and there is no additional traffic on my network, this thing has all the bandwidth to itself but is there a reason I can set up a brand new system and do an upgrade in the background? I've basically unboxed a device that is slower
    to DL than my 360 which used the same connection in the same room. I plugged in, connected to my network and I can't dismiss or delay something that has made this brand new system unusable as it plods an update that should have taken less than 10 minutes and
    MS server status says everything is up and running.

    I thought th xbox could only access a maximum of 16gb via a flash drive? I cant remember where i heard that so it may be wrong 1GB System Update taking hours, is this normal? :p

    1GB Update??

    The 1.1gb update includes Specat, Onslaught, Vietnam, VIP maps and the updates for the game.

    So... If you want to play the game, you have to download it. But you can put it on a flash drive if you have one and plug it in whenever you play.

    Back To Karkand - is it on the disc or in the multiplayer update?

    My guess is the huge update because it was a 2+GB update and normally updates never top 1GB and when they do it is rare.

    So you downloaded 51GB but cancelled a 1GB update?

    erm.........................why? why not wait the few minutes it would take to get that last 1GB?

    You gotta remember some of that space is reserved for system files and updates

    Also when you see 1tb it is counted as 1000 mb

    But the hdd is calculated at 1.024 MB so when 1.024x upto 1gb which makes a shortfall

    You may get 850gigs at best

    That's before the system files

    Sorry to hear about the issues! First, if you are continuing to experience slow download speeds, I recommend checking out our troubleshoot slow game
    or app downloads on the Xbox One     page for some helpful steps. As you are going through the listed steps, be sure to check your connection speeds and compare them to the example chart. As far as the issue with space, If you find your are running out of
    storage space, you may want to look into getting an external storage device. Another way to free up space would be to uninstall any apps or games you are not using.
