16 character redemption codes

Discus and support 16 character redemption codes in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; today I tried to redeem a dlc voucher for an old 360 game using the 16 character format as opposed to the 25 character now used.     today I tried to redeem a dlc voucher for an old 360 game using the 16 character format as opposed to the 25 character now used. I couldn't find anywhere on the console which would allow me to use the 16 character codes. Can anyone tell me how to do it or
    are those old codes now useless?

    I purchased Quantum Break on May 16, 2016 and was supposed to receive a digital download redemption code for Alan Wake and it dlc. I have not received any redemption codes.

    Cannot redeem free "Name your Game" bundle game because the redemption code is 16 digits not 25. Can anyone shine some light on this for me please? I am getting super frustrated. Help me please!?

    have same problem? bought a new xbox today with 16 digit redemption code? will not work.

    16 character redemption codes

    16 character codes are usually redeemed in the game itself. Check the main menu if the game to see if there is an option for the code.

    Depending on the game and how old it is though, it could still be possible for the codes to be expired.

    Like Smwutches said, it's most likely only redeemable from a menu within the game it relates to. If it's not a code for DLC for an existing game, you could try redeeming it on the website instead. Just hover the mouse over your gamertag up in the top right
    hand corner of this page and click "Redeem Code"
