15 hours to download a game?

Hello, I`m just get a Brand New XBOX ONE, só i got to the store and Buy Battlefield 4 .. from this point i had to wait more less 15 hours for a download? Are you kidding me?

There`s something wrong with my XBOX ONe?

Install time?

I buy the game disc and the game took me like 15 mins to download the 15 gb patch 6 hours to download I have a 8mb speed internet thats the cause.

I too am disappointed in the SLOW download. 12mb DSL I am having a little better luck than you. 1.5 hours 15% download.

 

What's your internet speed?

 

5MB, download pretty much faster on xbox360 and no trouble playing co-op and/or multiplayer on xbox live.

There's nothing wrong with your Xbox. The game is almost 38GB, so 15 hours is about right with a 5Mbps connection.

 

Download speeds can various depending on the time of day, during peak times your average speed maybe lower and as SigmaTheDJ mentioned on a 5 mbps connection, your looking for Battlefield 4 to download around this length of time as the file is almost 40gb.

Try downloading the game during the night time when your asleep as the bandwidth of your connection will be more at a consistent speed.

 

If you have a friend with a game on disc, you can install it on your console, then if you buy the digital version it will just unlock the game you've already installed rather than you having to download it.

I checked a couple of download time calculator sites and 17-18 hours is how long it takes to download 38 GB with a 5 Mbps connection, so 15 hours is actually better than you would expect with a connection of that speed.

 

OK, Now ...

More than 4 hours to install Ryse son of Rome FROM THE DISC ... It`s the standart time?

 

I'm going to assume you are connected to Xbox live while doing this install. If I'm correct you are installing, and downloading game updates at the same time. This can really bog things down. Stop the install disconnect your wireless or wired connection,
then resume the install this should speed things up a bit. Also when u connect back up to live you will be prompted to grab those game updates.

 

When you install a game from disc when you're connected to Xbox Live, the console will check for updates to the game and download them if any are found. There have been some pretty big updates released for Ryse, so it's likely that downloading those via
a 5 Mbps connection is why it took so long.

I think they should change the installation process so that it just installs what's on the disc first, then when you launch the game it should check for updates and ask if you want to install them now. If you say no, you play offline. That would make more
sense IMO.

Man i had the same problem with watch dogs sorry t o hear about that... I mean is not like we're running 1 meg of speed here cmon xbox!
