144hz monitor doesn't work with 120hz

So i have the BenQ XL2411P, which is supports up to 144hz. Works perfectly on my computer but when i switch over to xbox and go switch from 60hz to 120hz, my screen goes black. I just bought a HDMI 2.0 as well because i thought that maybe i had an old
hdmi cable, but that didnt fix it either. Any comments would be appreciated

Hi I'm in the Xbox insider's but I'm Delta even though I've been with Xbox four years can I get moved up I would love the may update as I have a 144hz monitor so I would love to use 120hz on Xbox one

 

Can the original xbox one run 120hz

i have the original xbox one and im inside the insiders xbox program and get all of the updates and i was wondering if i use the benq xl2411 monitor (1080p 144hz 1ms) can the xbox reach 120hz

The Xbox One X is capped at 120Hz at 1080p and 1440p resolutions, but can do 4k UHD at 60 Hz. Unfortunately the Xbox cannot go higher than 120 Hz at the moment.

By any chance does your monitor have a setting to dial it down to 120 Hz?

Unfortunately my monitor doesnt have an option to turn it down to 120hz. Im fully aware that the xbox one cannot go over 120, but i only want to achieve 120 and at this stage i cant even do that.
