144hz at 1080p 144hz

Why microsoft does not get an update on the xbox one X that lets me use screens at 144hz at 1080p resolutions. I'm thinking about to buy an 144hz screen but I know that xbox one x don't let me show at
that frequency so that will be a completly waste of money but if microsoft get an update that makes xbox can shows me 144hz ir would be awesome for me and for other players

I wouldn't put any money on that happening any time particularly soon, but submitting your ideas on how to improve the console and Xbox Live can be submitted to the Xbox Feedback site.

If you have a PC that can take advantage of the high refresh rate, with G-Sync or Freesync, then that would make sense, but if buying it in hopes of Xbox support down the road might not be the best use of your resources, in my opinion.

I have same issue but with my Acer Nitro VG271 144Hz. Xbox series X won’t run at 120Hz 1080p. That must be problem with xbox series x because works perfect with Asus RX480 8GB (144Hz 1080p HDMI2.0). I am very dissapointed. 60hz is a joke.

Make sure you're plugging it into the HDMI 2.0 port and not the HDMI 1.4 port, you may be in the wrong one.

And also, some monitors just don't support 1440p at 120-144hz, some only support it at 1080p 120-144hz. It's an HDMI and screen limitation.
