  3. Microsoft, please Update resolutions on new dashboard

    I tried on 1280x720, 1360x768, 1440x900. The best is 1920x1080, but is not the native, and image is downscaled to fit on screen.

    The One S, as far as I'm aware, only supports resolutions 4K, 1080p, and 720p. So yes, it will work, but the only setting you'll be able to use is the 720p one. Though at 19 inches, that's probably sufficient.

    The Xbox One doesn't support a resolution of 1440x900. Check to see if your TV supports 720p.

    It says that:

    Display Capability: 480p, 720p, 720i and 1080i

    But some people are saying that I will have blackbars on the top and bottom of my TV because the resolution of my TV is 1440x900... Is it true?

    Thank you for your answers!

  7. 480p = 640x480

    720p/i = 1280x720

    900p = 1440x900

    1080p/i = 1920x1080

    900p TVs are a bit of an unusual bunch.

    Your Xbox One will output at either 720p or 1080p, depending on your Xbox settings. It does not support output at 900p. The TV should upscale 720p (Xbox output) to 900p (TV resolution), or downscale from 1080p (Xbox output).

    As 900p is a resolution with 16:10 aspect ratio, you will either see black bars or a stretched screen on your 900p TV, since 720/1080 resolutions are 16:9 (standard ratio for HDTV).

    Thanks a lot for answer but I have one last question.. Is there a way to know if it will be stretched or not?

    Thanks!

    Take a look at your tv settings, most of the time your tv will sit at the native normal screen and you can apply a wide screen setting to it for most inputs. That would stretch the screen output for you, however the visuals might end up being a little distorted.

    Check out this link for more information display output of the Xbone:
