    1440p time frame?

I bought a console for $500 because Xbox said that 1440p will be run natively on the One X. (I have a 1440p 144hz monitor) I have been told 1440p support will be coming "in the future". I'm sorry, but "in the future" really isn't good enough. I know there
are many more people with the same frustration as me. Can we get a real time frame?

Had I known it would not have had support for 1440p from the start I would not have bought the console.

    :)

    1440p not supported yet 03/02/2018

1440p not yet supported, my monitor is still only using 1080p but my monitor actually supports 1440p.

  3. 1440p still outputs games at 4k

    Hi guys,

Using the new 1440p setring, the dashboard is set to 1440p but 4k games are still getting output to my monitor at 4K.

Is there a way to force 1440p down scaling?

    Thanks!

  4. 1440p time frame?

Every new software feature in the Xbox One system OS will require some time to implement, which could be several months from now (this is a
guess). It must first be pushed to the Preview updates for testing (for Insider members only), and if it goes successful, it can then be pushed into the next system update for the general public.

There's no clear time frame unless if Microsoft actually says something, or if people in the Insider Program reveal something with the latest system Preview updates.

For now, you'll just have to wait. You are still able to experience the hardware benefits of the Xbox One X over 1080p (supersampling, 4K assets, etc).

Why my xbox series s more frame drop on 120 fps

You are going to lose frame rates at 1440p and 120hz it's meant to actually run at 90fps

Bad Frame Rate when playing Red Dead Redemption in 1440p- Xbox One X. Any suggestions?

    Hello,

It's been awhile since I've posted here, but there's been a few updates that I missed regarding this issue. It now seems that this is an Xbox One issue and not a Rockstar issue. For example, the Reddit threads I have been keeping track of got some replies
    that state:

"Omg I thought my xbox is broken. Tested 1080p everything was fine. 1440p I keep on loosing frames. It drives me nuts. The problem is I've tested this with other games and it's exactly the same...i think it's an issue on MS side."

"Yes I noticed this on AC Odyseey too, funny enough 60fps games aren't showing this problem, so maybe there is something broken on MS's end with half refresh rate sync."

"I did more testing on this with AC Odyssey, switching the xbox back and forth from 1080p to 1440p on the output, it was very noticeable how smooth 1080p was with no stuttering and hitching, with 1440p output the framerate randomly stutters and just doesn't
    feel as smooth."

Using 1440p output produces noticeable frame skipping/stutter. Setting the system to 1080p shows even frame pacing 30fps.

Playing titanfall 2 at 1440p produce beautiful locked 60fps, no frame drops. So it's clearly not a hdmi/interface problem with the monitor, it's definitely something odd with the game.

I noticed a similar issue with Assassins creed Odyseey, but it's not as bad to the same degree as RDR2. Setting the dash output to 1080p for both these games produces a smooth 30fps."

I see that you are a Microsoft Agent and moderator, so is there any way I can make this issue known to Xbox? I purchased this console primarily because it supported 1440p, so if they are able to look into it and fix it then it will
make many people happy who game on 1440p displays. Thank you.

    Being a Halo Fan = Rank 343 OgreRha 1485

Id like to see real high frame rate. Either 4k @ 60 or 1440p @ 120. Also hdr support with dolby atmos. Yes great graphics as well as edge of the seat action and unforgetable adventure.

    Xbox Series S Graphics performances

Well no your best would be 1440p by 120hz if your tv would support that

Most games will only support 1080p depending on the tv

You gotta remember the series s is NOT a 4k console

It only upscales movies and TV shows to 4k not games

If you force it to 4k you will drop frames like crazy

Series x and xbox one xis 4k native at 60 and 30hz

Series s and below are 1440p max with recommended 90hz max
