    Hello, I recently purchased an HP Pavilion 32 HDR gaming monitor for my Xbox One x for the 1440p support, and to enjoy console gaming. I tried to connect the monitor to my Xbox and got the 1440p support, PC RGB, abd HDR 10 but this is where things get wierd.

    When I'm watching insects on the app I see the 4k but no HDR, and on top of that when playing assassin's Creed Odyssey I can't access the HDR brightness settings. I'm new to console gaming on a 1440p monitor and I hope to get this issue fixed. Please let
    me know if the Xbox one x support 1440p HDR and how to i get it to work on my gaming monitor? Thanks

    Xbox One X on the LG C9 Oled TV doesn’t use HDR for resolutions other than 4K

    I’m unable to play at 1440p with HDR, that was my goal (1440p@120Hz).

    Many 1440p monitors can do it, I have tried HDR with it on Odyssey. HDR looked good, but overall it may not have looked as nice using the native 1440p. So the super sample is probably better right?

    I think the Xbox only supports HDR for 1440p and 4K, I've never personally seen HDR at 1080.

    Xbox only support hdr on 4k so we that have a xbox series s and 1080p 1440p hdr 120hz screen cannot get hdr because its not 4k. On ps4 it works tho 1080p hdr.

    Thanks so much for your help with this issue, I now realize that this monitor doesn't get HDR because it is 1440p even though it support HDR 10, but I hope Microsoft one day releases an update to allow HDR gaming in 1440p. In the mean time I'm thinking
    about returning this monitor and getting one that support freesync 2. Thanks
