    1440 120hz Monitor and Xbox series x

I have a VG27WQ monitor and am having issues with getting to use it in 1440 120hz. I see that the VG27AQ is working great, but this monitor is not working nicely with my series x. I get the choices of 1080 120hz of 1440 60hz. I really like this monitor
and was wondering if there is a way to get it to work or if there will be an update to address this? According to the specs this monitor does run 1440 120hz thru hdmi. Thank you for your help.

    :)

    1440 @120hz or 4K HDR @60hz

Altough the Xbox One X supports 1440 and 120Hz, games are not going to run on 120Hz, console is not prepared for that yet.

So my best advice is to go for 4K HDR if your monitor supports it, and when the Series X is released, you will be able to use 1440/120Hz!

Xbox one x not displaying 1440/120

Hi and thank you for your reply, i do have a one x yes and plan on getting the series x asap. 1440/60hz does feel good its still alot smoother than on my tv which is good. However my worry is what if i series x doesn't allow me to use 1440/120hz either.
My monitor says its capable of 1440/144hz but ive also read some people say some monitors only run that using display port. Could i fix this with a hdmi to port display cable maybe?

    Thanks again

Cold War Ray Tracing and 120hz Option Is Missing?

So how do some people lower there resolution to 1440 and achieve 120hz on Cold War with a series s? I’m just confused bc I had the series x but downgraded bc I thought it could do 120hz just not in 2160 p and I was fine with 1440

    Xbox series X - 1440p 144hz monitor

    Hi,

Do you have problems with getting your Xbox to use your display's 1440P resolution and 120Hz on this monitor?

Your monitor has a note in the manual that says:

    * When HDMI Compatibility Mode is on, 2560 x 1440 @ 120/144Hz resolution is not supported.

I would assume you should be able to get 120Hz at 1440P with this monitor connected to a Series X. But, as you've probably seen, the Xbox One can be really picky when it comes to monitors.

Monitor interest has gone up considerably since Microsoft released support for both 120Hz and FreeSync. The problem is getting a monitor that will use these features correctly over HDMI.
