1409 Preview Update Forum now available

i have 1409 but no friends tab either, didn't have it on 1408 so theory is looking good lol only noticed it went to 1409 because my smartglass got an update tho i missed the info window that told me what had changed but i can see the messaging has turned
more into a instant messaging window like whatsapp etc

 

I have the update and my console can stream netflix, cant download games, and is overall very buggy and sluggish

 

Hi I have the update but it has complete jammed up my xbox. Multiplayer connection is down to nothing. Netflix and streaming services are all in toilet. Help!

 

Don't post here in the General Forum. Go to the preview forums and post there for issues with the preview update. Additionally make sure you are providing feedback via the app on the console including screen shots for any hanging or loading issues. Make
sure you have the latest build, updates are happening multiple times in a week for some issues such as the Wi-Fi slowdown.

 

there is a couple workarounds its in the forums the multiplayer connection is due to being on wifi. laggy hard restart the xbox one. unplug from wall and back of xbox for 5 min then replug and turn back on

yes post on the forums there that way they know things that need to be fixed that is why you are a beta tester

 

Sorry this is the thread Xbox Support linked me to. Xbox support had me perform a factory restore on my xbox (so I do not have the preview app on there anymore and I am no longer able to download anything due to the update). Could you please give me the
link to where I should post for help or tell me some of the solutions (unplugging the xbox has not solved the problem). Should i use a wired connection?

Thanks for your patience while we investigated this issue. The dev team has identified the problem and is testing a fix. In the meantime they have identified a workaround that can be used until the fix is rolled out.

Go into Settings, Preferences.

Toggle the setting for "Allow Play To streaming" under System & App.

This should mitigate the slow wireless performance you are experiencing. Please note that you will need to perform this workaround any time the console comes out of a full reboot (booting from Power Saving Mode), but not when the console comes out of standby
(consoles configured for Instant On mode).
