I think those are the major updates, though. I am moderately excited about most of these, those not extremely excited about any of them.

I have been missing social features with your friends list since before the One came out, so I am happy they are finally implementing these features.

 

I heard it's going to update some things.

 

It looks like a great update to me! It has more stuff in it than I expected.

 

How can you not like the addition of the Friends tab on the Dashboard? No more having to open up the app.

Go into Settings and it's under Power & startup. If the console is in "instant on" mode, it will download game, app and dashboard updates automatically while the console is "off", and once the new update is rolled out, it will also automatically download
any content you buy/queue up via Xbox.com or SmartGlass on your phone or tablet. That mode also allows you to turn the console on with your voice and quick resume games, plus the boot up time is MUCH faster than a cold boot. The only disadvantages are that
it uses more power when the console is off (about 15 Watts) and the power supply is on all the time.

 

Power & startup... turn on Instant-on and check "automatically download updates"

 

Nice that the friends list is getting more attention, changing UI, I expect this to happen over the years, changing it up like 360 did, but at a slower pace.

I really want our personal media functionality to get attention. Listen to my music & my videos like I did on the 360. It is highly requested on feedback site.

Wish we would have an idea if it'll ever come & why it's gone.

 

still waiting for the trending part, also want themes id love a halo theme and transparant tiles also wouldnt mind live tiles

Apart from that i noticed he slyly stuck in at the bottom of the page:

"In addition to these features, we are still always doing other work on the backend you may not notice including getting ready to ship in 29 new markets starting this September."

Great news, finally get even more competitive being available in more markets and being more in line with the rivals (y)

 

when will they roll out this update to us? next week?

 

I have the update and it is good, 3D option now enabled in the settings also.
