14 day trial won't work

so I bought my Xbox one a month back or so, and I never activated my Xbox live trial, I came to activate it tonight to play destiny and i noticed it went thru the first time I typed it in, so I thought it was active, I went on destiny and a message popped
up, saying that I need to buy a live membership, I don't understand that, I just activated my trial card, so why isn't it working?

I went and typed it again thinking I might've had a typo when I entered it but no, everything was typed in correctly, and after, it said that the code I entered has already been redeemed...... so like who redeemed it?? Me! Why don't I have it? I don't know,
but I bought my Xbox new and I'd like my Xbox trial to work

Day One Achievement and 14 day gold

Not sure about the achievement code, but if you're trying to use the 14 day trial on this account, it won't work because you're already gold. Trials cannot be added to gold subscriptions.

Xbox 14 day trial

I have an xbox 14 day trial activated on one of my accounts. I never entered any billing information or any money inside the account. I was wondering that after this 14 day trial, would I be charged for the xbox live gold? I tried canceling my 14 day trial
but for some reason, it won't let me

Trials only give you limited access to some xbox live gold features.

Some games will not let you play online with a trial membership,you would need a full gold membership to do that.

To clear it up. If you have an existing 30 days subscription(trial or not). You should not be able to redeem a 14 day trial. If you where able to redeem a trial code during this period, then that 14 day trial will be useless as it won't stack with your 1
month subscription. Once your 1 month subscription ends, everything ends. It won't continue your trial subscription that you redeemed within those period.

So basically, if you have a free 2, 7 or 14 days trial. It is best to be used after an existing subscription ends. And make sure not to redeem them all at once. If you have redeemed a 14 days trial first then redeemed another 2 days trial, it won't stack.
It will overwrite the first one you redeemed. So instead of getting 16 days, you will only get 2 days of trial subscription.

I hope that clear things up regarding trial subscriptions.

If it's one of the 14-days trials then correct. You won't be able to use it.

14 day trials redeemed from a code do not auto-renew. They won't show on your account since they are a trial and not a full gold subscription.
