14 Day Trial says "I already have a gold membership."

Ok, so my gold membership ran out about 2 days ago. That means I do NOT have gold anymore, right? The gold membership I had was a 1 year gold membership, I got it a year ago for my Xbox 360. Then, on November I got an Xbox One and the gold membership was
working. It expired 2 days ago and when I try to redeem the 14 day gold trial, it says I already have gold and doesn't let me play? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

TRIAl not working

Xbox live 14 day trial says I already have gold

I'm trying to activate my 14 day trial but whenever I enter the code it says "you have a gold membership already. Give this trial gold membership to a friend who hasn't tried gold..."

Am I not allowed to use my trial or what? Please help. I want to play battlefield!

You're showing as gold on the forums. You may want to try checking your subscriptions at
Sign in to your Microsoft account to make sure it definitely has expired. If so, you'll need to contact support. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or

Im having the same problem i cant play games with gold so when i go to enter my 14 day gold trial it says i already have gold what do i do?

Are you saying that you used the 14 day trial and then underneath the 14 days it stopped working? Its not 14 time you sign on it is 14 days from the day you first used the trial. If you liked what you saw and used when connected to live I suggest getting
a gold membership.

I am assuming the 14 days of gold is a free trial as microsoft do not sell 14 day gold memberships.. Free trials do not give you access to all the gold features. This is meant to be used to test the xbox live features. If you want access to gold exclusive
demos and access apps that require gold membership you will need to purchase a proper gold membership.

The only 14 day membership is a trial, which does not make you Gold, it's only a trial.

The 14 day trial cards you get in some console or game boxes are a "Gold light" membership so to speak.

That 14 day trial will only grant you the ability to play online multiplayer or participate in parties.

You do NOT get any other benefits like "Deals with Gold" (reduced prices for game deals), "Games with Gold" (free games each month with your Gold membership) or Cloudstorage.

However, the full month trial WILL give you access to these features.

If you do have the trial already, simply try to
go to the Games with Gold page, and try to get a game. If you see the game price reduced to 0,00 with your Gold Trial membership, the Cloud save will work.
