14 Day Live Gold trial (Assassins creed bundle) not working

I redeemed a 14 day trial that came with my Xbox One (Assiassins Creed bundle from the Microsoft store). The code was accepted via live.xbox.com but not applied to my account and I can not play online and keeps on asking me to purchase gold again. This
is my first time with Xbox and Xbox live and I believe I've followed the instructions that were made available to me. My son is not able to play his Plants vs. Zombie game online and download the free games that the rep at the MS store talked about as a result
of this.

Xbox one is still messing up, and its getting worse

perhaps, but that error code just start it wasn't doing it until I Port forwarded my xbox one on my modem, how would I fix that. I also forgot to mention I have the assassins creed bundle, and my gold service came from the 14 day trial code.

 

Xbox Live Gold Membership 14 day trial is not working

just purchased the tomb raider 1tb xbox one bundle, which comes with a 14 day xbox live gold trial. it actually says "activate your 14 day xbox live gold trial." i am having the same issues. cannot dl free games, yet able to chat. if i try to dl a free game,
it wants me to upgrade to gold. WTF? it says live gold trial! explain that!

 

It looks like you've been able to play Plants vs. Zombies so it's probably fixed by now, but there usually is a delay when you add a subscription via the website vs. the console. Also, trials do not change your account status to gold so you are unable to
download the free games with gold games while on a trial subscription.

 

Okay, that make sense. I was not able to download the free games and presumed that Gold was not enabled. Once the trial period ends, I will add a non-trial code. Thanks.
