    I can’t redeem code in ms store for like 5 months. I got same erorr and Microsoft did nothing to help me.

    You can also always just redeem the 12m code and it will stop the month to month bill for the next year.

    Hello AUM, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

    I'm afraid that a payment method added is a requirement for the service. However, once added you can log in to https://account.microsoft.com/services and turn off auto renewal so the membership does not renew unless you choose to.

    all of the above are correct however if you purchased the 12M membership or the 3M membership since its already paid for you can call phone support at 1-800-4MYXBOX and have them cancel the membership on your accnt and remove the cc and just have them give
    you a code for the remaining months. for example if you purchased the 12M and you only used 3M you can cancel the membership and get a code for 9M so you can redeem on your sons accnt.

    Hi there,

    just to be sure, the account used by your sone has your Microsoft Account? Or are they two different Microsoft/Xbox Live accounts?

    Also please check if you did receive a confirmation email on the account regarding redeeming the 12M code.
